Betrayal At The Altar

Chapter 591

“No.” Rachel looked up and glanced at Darcy with a meaningful smile in her eyes. “Let them prepare properly.”

Darcy was stunned for a moment before he respectfully said. “Yes!”

According to the tradition of the annual charity auction, the organizers had to go on stage to give a speech at the end.

However, Rachel had never liked to be in the limelight. In the past, Darcy would always give a speech on

her behalf.

But this time, she wanted to give the speech herself.

After all, Olivia and Louis had contributed so much to this charity auction. As the organizer, she should thank them properly.

“Mr. Smith, may I ask if you will be paying by credit card or check?” Darcy led several black-suited men into the private room they were in.

In the past, the tradition of the charity auction was to pay for the items purchased when the guests left. But this time, they were worried that something might go wrong, so they brought the items in early.

When he saw Darcy’s face, Louis was slightly taken aback.

He felt like he had seen this man somewhere before.

But because the man’s face was too ordinary, he could not remember who he was even after thinking for a long time.

“With my card,” said Louis as he took out his card from his pocket.

Darcy took out the POS machine that he had prepared in advance and handed it to Louis.

After paying. Darcy gave the black-suited men a nod, indicating for them to bring the set of sapphire jewelry up.

After everything was done, the lights in the venue suddenly dimmed.

Everyone was stunned and the host slowly walked onto the stage with his signature smile. “Next, please welcome the representative of the organizer of this charity auction up on stage to give a speech!”

As soon as he finished speaking, thunderous applause broke out in the audience.

But the woman on stage had an indifferent expression, showing no interest or anticipation in this perfunctory process.

“Why is she here?” someone in the crowd asked.

Upon hearing that, everyone turned their attention to the stage.

Rachel slowly walked forward.

She was wearing a moon-white gown, which wrapped around her enchanting figure. As she walked, her straight and long legs could be faintly seen beneath the gown, and her elegance was infused with a s**y

charm.

But her cold temperament was like a lily blooming at the top of a snow-covered mountain, making her only for distant admiration and not to be profaned.

The spotlight fell on Rachel’s face, making her eye-catching face even more dazzling.

Rachel walked onto the stage with a calm expression. She took the microphone from the host and said to the audience, I’m very happy that everyone came to participate in this charity banquet despite their busy schedules and thank you for your strong support for this charity auction.”

She paused for a moment and lifted her gaze to the private room where Louis and Olivia were.

The moment Rachel took to the stage, Louis felt as though he had been doused head to toe in icy water in

the dead of winter.

A chill spread through his limbs and bones, and his body trembled uncontrollably.

His mind was in a mess, unable to find any clues.

He couldn’t understand how Rachel had suddenly become the organizer of this charity auction.
