Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 627

Betrayal At The Altar By Dolores Delia

Chapter 627

On the day of Olivia’s engagement, waves of commotion arose. From Winnie plagiarizing Rachel’s draft design to Olivia’s scandal, everyone on the Internet knew about them. It was difficult for Hans not to know even if he didn’t want to.

The Cruise family’s reputation plummeted, and the Smith family was implicated.

Most importantly, the famous designer Winnie, who should have had a bright future, became notorious.

Not only was Winnie disqualified from this fashion competition, but even the garment association removed her from the list.

They did not leave Winnie a way out at all.

And this was only because Winnie had provoked Rachel.

It seemed that the precious daughter, Rachel, who had once been chased out of the Grey family by Hans, had found a reliable backer. Otherwise, with Rachel’s ability, how could she cause such a huge commotion online?

Hans lit a cigarette and took a deep drag. He shifted his weight back and slowly leaned against the back of the chair.

The designer of the Raimant Collection?

Hans did not know if this identity was worth anything.

However, Hans had long heard of Raimant Collection’s clothes.

Not only were they difficult to buy, but they were also priceless.

However, Rachel had never shown her talent in this aspect when she was little. How did Rachel suddenly become a famous designer?

In the quiet study, Hans sat on a chair and smoked silently.

Perhaps it was time for Rachel to come back to the Grey family.

Early in the morning.

Rachel was woken up by the sudden ringtone of her phone.

Rachel reached out her hand and fumbled on the bedside table for a long time. Before Rachel could reach for her phone, she was pulled back by David’s outstretched arm. “Sleep again.”

Rachel glanced at David and simply hung up the call to continue sleeping.

An hour later, Rachel and David sat at the table and ate breakfast.

At this moment, Rachel’s phone rang again.

When Rachel saw the caller ID, her charming eyes flickered with a clear coldness. Then, Rachel turned her phone to silent mode and ignored it.

David saw Rachel’s small actions but did not ask further. “Are you going to the office later?”

“Yes.” Rachel sighed faintly and looked at David with regret and unhappiness. “After you leave, I can only rely on work to fill the gap in my heart.”

David did not say anything. He just raised his eyebrows and looked at Rachel with a faint smile on his lips. “That doesn’t sound like something you can say.”

In David’s impression, Rachel had always been cold as ice as if nothing in this world could evoke the softness in her heart.

A blush flashed across Rachel’s fair face as she said indifferently, “I didn’t expect it either.”

Rachel’s tone was pretentious and resentful, making her like a pitiful woman who was not doted on by her husband. However, these things were like instinctive reactions, and there was no need for any disguise. Rachel didn’t even think about it and just naturally blurted out.

Perhaps speaking something sweet was an attribute that every woman had, but the trigger condition was the men’s endless love and unreasonable favoritism.

David’s eyes were filled with a doting smile. “When I come back, how about going to Aureliana with me?”

When Rachel heard it, her chewing paused for a moment. “Then I’ll arrange my work in the near future.”

“There’s no rush. Let me know when you’re ready,” said David.

Rachel nodded. “Okay.”

After eating, Rachel was sent by David to the office building of the Johnson Corporation.
