Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 648

Chapter 648

“Of course, I know it’s not a coincidence,” Olivia said nonchalantly. “The reason why she’s so arrogant is that she’s cozying up to David Jones.”

Otherwise, if she wanted to kill Rachel, it would be easier than crushing an ant.

She thought that after being abandoned by Louis, Rachel would have nothing. She did not expect her to be so lucky to meet the noble David.

It was a pity that she did not get to meet David earlier and come into contact with him.

Otherwise, there would be no place for someone like Rachel!

Seeing that Olivia still could not see the situation clearly, Bertha said resentfully, “Since when are you so naive? If Rachel did it just because she is with David, would she really dare to act so recklessly and commit evil? If it wasn’t for the fact that she had someone backing her, how could she lay her hands on the evidence?

“Do you know that there are rumors outside that Rachel is the daughter of the Johnson family, the richest family of Seaxas?”

Hearing this, Olivia was shocked.

Actually, she had had this conjecture in her heart for a long time.

However, she felt that such a coincidence was too unrealistic. Or rather, she did not dare to believe it and could not accept the fact that Rachel’s identity was more honorable than hers.

In her

eyes, Rachel came from a humble background and should be trampled under her feet for the rest of her life.

“I know what you’re thinking.” Bertha could tell what she was thinking based on the expression on her face. “Let me ask you, if this conjecture is false, why would the Johnson boy support Rachel? If she’s not the daughter of the Johnson family with a different surname, why would the major icons of the Johnson family protect her at all times?”

Regardless of whether it was Tom or Adrian Johnson, they were both too high to be reached.

Why would they be at Rachel’s command so easily?

The series of questions rendered Olivia speechless.

She thought about how she had fallen in front of Rachel in the past, and then she thought about the calamity that the Cruise family was facing this time.

Each and every one of them seemed to tell her a bloody truth.

Rachel was the daughter of the Johnson family, the richest family in Seaxas!

But if Rachel was really the daughter of the Johnson family, how could the Grey family from Pollister not know?

Bertha saw that she had loosened up and continued to add fuel to the fire. “I know you don’t feel good, but why do you have to sacrifice your youth for something that can be resolved with an apology? If you really go to jail just like that, what will happen to the Smith family? The Smith family is not to be trifled with. Once something happens to you, they will definitely kick you out and choose to protect themselves.”

Hearing this, Olivia’s eyebrows twitched slightly. She bit her lips as if weighing the pros and cons in her heart.

The room fell into dead silence.

Accompanied by a series of clanging footsteps, the door opened.

When Olivia and Bertha saw the two figures standing at the door, their expressions changed slightly.

Rachel was wearing a white suit and a pair of palazzo pants of the same color. It was clean and elegant.

She was checking messages on her phone with one hand while David held her other hand.

Even if Rachel looked slightly petite next to David, the two of them had the same aura. Not only did they not look out of place, but they looked so matching unexpectedly.

The moment she saw Rachel, Olivia’s eyes were filled with undisguised hatred.

However, when she thought about how she was the one who called her over, she could only forcefully suppress her urge to throw things at her.

She clenched her fists tightly and stared straight at Rachel.

Bertha changed her usual attitude and greeted them with a smile. She said respectfully, “So Miss Grey came.”

“Five minutes,” Rachel said as she looked down at the time on her phone.

Olivia looked at her arrogant attitude and finally couldn’t take it anymore. “Rachel Grey, who are you putting on airs for?”

“Shut up!” Bertha snapped.

She walked to Olivia’s side and tugged at her arm. She deliberately lowered her voice and said, “What are you waiting for? Hurry up and apologize to Miss Grey.”

Olivia looked at her and moved her lips slightly, but she realized that she could not say it at all.

Sensing the awkwardness in the atmosphere, Bertha quickly smiled apologetically and said, “Miss Grey, I’m truly sorry. We are willing to apologize to you for our reckless actions.”

When she bent down slightly, she did not forget to tug at Olivia’s sleeve.

Rachel looked at Olivia lightly with a faint but taunting smile.

Olivia gritted her teeth so hard that they almost shattered.

Although she was unwilling, in the current situation, she could only lower her head to Rachel and David and beg them to let her off.

She knew Mrs. Smith very well. Once something happened to her, she would definitely urge Louis to divorce her.

After pondering for a long time, Olivia finally gritted her teeth. “I’m sorry!”
