Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 96

Betrayal At The Altar By Dolores Delia Chapter 96

Louis‘ assistant opened the car door. Louis bent down to get out of the car and walked straight into Johnson Corporation.

After Louis explained the purpose of his visit to the receptionist, the receptionist had a standard smile on her face. “I’m sorry, Mr. Smith. Ms. Grey is not in the company at the moment. If you want to see her, you can make an appointment first.”

“Is Ms. Grey not in the company, or is she deliberately avoiding us?” Louis‘ assistant was a little angry.

During this period, they had tried to see this elusive Ms. Grey more than once, but their trips had been futile. It was obvious that she

did it on purpose.

Even an honest person with a good temper would feel resentful in the face of such a situation.

Louis was a little angry, but his expression remained neutral. “If you see Ms. Grey, please pass on the message.”

With that, he turned around and left.

Louis‘ assistant glared at the receptionist angrily and hurriedly caught up to Louis. “Mr. Smith, it’s obvious that this Ms. Grey is deliberately avoiding us!”

If his assistant could sense it, how could Louis not?

However, Louis could not understand why the other party would avoid him.

Louis was sure that he had never offended anyone from Johnson Corporation. To collaborate with Johnson Corporation, he had even feigned civility with Mr. Justin, that greedy and lewd person, for so long.

Even though Louis felt resentful, he had no choice but to grit his teeth and swallow his anger.

After all, Smith Group was not qualified to be enemies with

Johnson Corporation.

Louis snapped out of his thoughts. When he turned around, he seemed to see a familiar figure.

Louis stopped in his tracks. Was that… Rachel?!

However, on second thought, Johnson Corporation was not a place

where Rachel could enter and leave as she liked. He must have made a mistake.

At this moment, Louis heard the assistant beside him stammer, “Could it be that… Miss Grey offended someone she shouldn’t have in the past?”

Back then, Rachel had worked hard for Smith Group and made outstanding contributions, but there were also many awful rumors. Hearing what his assistant said, Louis said thoughtfully, “When we get back to the company, ask the assistant who used to work for Rachel.”
