"Bullshit!"
Before Yvette could speak, Aaden stood with his hands on his hips and shouted, "The heart monitor is flatlining, how could he be alive! Do you think you're some kind of a life-saving immortal!"
"Please accept my condolences, Ms. Winters. We must believe in science." The attending doctor sighed.
Daniel's sudden intervention was undoubtedly an affront to him as the attending physician. The thought of it made him frown. "Please stop what you're doing immediately, sir. Otherwise, I'll file a lawsuit against you for abusing a deceased patient's body!"
Seeing Daniel remain silent with a grave expression, Yvette snapped, "Shut up, all of you! I said I'd take full responsibility for anything that happens!"
Then, she turned to Aaden with a sharp and menacing gaze. "If you keep making trouble, I'll kill you right here and then!"
"H-How dare you!" Aaden was startled by Yvette's murderous glare. He instinctively took a step back and dared not speak further.
"Finally done!" Daniel exhaled lightly and withdrew his hand.
Gordon's chest was filled with silver needles. The acupuncture kit Margaret had given Daniel was now completely empty.
Margaret's eyes widened. "I didn't expect you to know that technique! This is the legendary Death-Gateway Acupuncture, isn't it? My mentor said it was lost to time, and I never thought I'd see it today!"
Hearing her words, Daniel glanced at her with curiosity and grew even more intrigued by who her mentor was.
To have both the ruthless and cold-hearted Saintess of the Shadowspire Syndicate and pure-hearted Margaret as disciples, her mentor must be quite an enigmatic figure.
He nodded. "You're right. This is Death-Gateway Acupuncture."
Then, he turned to Yvette. "Mission accomplished. Luckily, we made it in time."
"Ha! I think you're just a fraud!" Aaden sneered from the side.
