Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 297

Margaret pouted angrily at Daniel and turned away. "Forget it if you don't want to teach me!"

Daniel was momentarily stunned. A woman's thoughts were indeed unfathomable.

Margaret had always refused to acknowledge their relationship, and now that he brought it up, she was suddenly upset. He couldn't comprehend why.

Fortunately, he didn't care and simply closed his eyes for a rest.

His indifferent attitude annoyed Margaret further as she clenched her teeth in frustration.

After witnessing Gordon's physical transformation firsthand, the attending doctor rushed through the medical examinations. Every test came back perfectly healthy and didn't take long to complete.

"Incredible! This is simply a miracle! You're truly a miracle doctor!" The doctor, who'd initially been cold toward Daniel, now approached him enthusiastically and held a thick stack of medical reports.

But Daniel turned to Yvette and asked, "How did it go, Ms. Winters?"

"We can't thank you enough, Mr. Ashcroft." Yvette glanced at the overly eager doctor and understood that Daniel wasn't interested in conversing with him. Then, she suggested, "This isn't the best place to talk. Shall we move somewhere else?"

Daniel didn't object.

Yet, the doctor seemed to have something else on his mind. The burly, bearded middle-aged man watched as Daniel walked away without a second glance, and an odd, lingering hatred filled his eyes.

At Regal Retreats, Daniel sat in a private dining room as Yvette arranged for the best dishes from the hotel to be served.
