Chefs at Regal Retreats were skilled and far superior to the ones at The Harbor restaurant where Daniel had dined with Margaret.
Margaret ate to her heart's content, but when they returned to their hotel room, a sudden thought crossed her mind.
"Do you hate me?" she asked and turned to Daniel.
"Hate is a strong word, but have you forgotten how you reacted when you first met me?" he spread his hands in a helpless gesture.
Margaret stared at him for a moment and huffed. "I'll tell you this; you won't get rid of me!" With that, she huffed and stomped into her room.
Daniel couldn't be bothered. Treating Gordon had drained a good amount of his vitality, but a single night's rest was enough to restore it.
…
After Daniel left, Gordon finally said, "You did well."
"Grandpa, your health…" Yvette was a little worried, though she had the medical reports to prove Gordon was doing fine.
"Don't worry. This is a blessing in disguise. I've not only healed my internal injuries, but I've also improved my strength!" Gordon laughed heartily and narrowed his eyes. "Daniel is incredibly powerful. Do you remember what I told you?"
Yvette's eyes widened. "Grandpa, are you saying he's an Energy Cultivator?"
A smirk tugged at the corner of Gordon's lips. "I may not be an expert in Magden, but I've brought the Winters family this far with nothing but a pair of keen eyes!
"No matter what he's planning, this is an opportunity for the Winters family!" A sharp gleam flashed in his eyes.
Yvette firmly nodded. "I understand. I'll do my best to cooperate with him."
