Everyone suddenly looked at the door, but I casually focused on the uneasy shareholders below.
I could see the complex emotions in the eyes of the shareholders at that one sentence.
Some had a sudden sparkle in their eyes.
Some furrowed their brows.
Some immediately turned their gaze toward me, seemingly observing my expression.
A few others were surprised and stared at the woman who was walking in briskly.
I remained calm and composed. I sat steadily in my seat without looking back at the newcomers.
I didn't even look up when I heard footsteps entering the conference room.
The group walked to the spacious conference table opposite me, appearing directly in my line of sight and taking up positions opposite me.
I smiled and looked at Mia. She had walked in confidently like a shining star and sat opposite me. She arched her eyebrows and stared straight at me.
"Sorry for the unexpected encounter, Ms. Chloe. But you’re not qualified to preside over or participate in this Echelon shareholder meeting today." Mia had an air of certainty as she looked at me. Her tone was firm.
"Please leave the conference room, Ms. Chloe," Mia added arrogantly.
I looked at her calmly and asked, "Why?"
Her entourage was quite impressive. The useless illegitimate son was with her, and she had also brought along several legal advisors, Lance, and his followers. What surprised me even more was that Mia had brought a team of media reporters to support her.
They seemed intense, as if they were determined to succeed.
When they entered the conference room, they started asking me a barrage of questions.
