Four months later, at a hospital in Foswood.
After being wheeled out of the delivery room, I saw my entire family waiting for me outside.
My grandmother, supported by Hana, walked up to me, trembling. "Chlo, my Chlo, you've been through so much!"
Beside my grandmother was a girl who looked a lot like me, standing silently beside my grandmother. She was the one who had been crafted to be my counterfeit.
What was even more dramatic was that the DNA test results had revealed that she was actually my parents' daughter. When we found out, we cried tears of joy. It was truly heaven-sent. From then on, I gained another sister, who was like a twin to me.
Feeling a little weak, I looked at her kind smile and said, "Grandma! It's two boys!"
"We all saw them. They’re very handsome and healthy! I can finally rest assured. My daughter has a life partner now," Ivanna said as she eagerly squeezed by my side.
Everyone burst into laughter. Jared reached out his long arm and pulled her back. "Come here, don't cause any trouble."
My father, supported by Anya, came over with a cane. "This is amazing! They’re both sons? Wonderful... the Pierce family has successors, and Louis has grandsons!"
"I didn't expect them to both be boys," I said with a smile, pretending to be slightly disappointed. "It would have been nice if they were a boy and a girl."
Ava squeezed up to me, nestling by my side, and said, "Daddy said we can only have one princess in our family. That's me! I’m the precious one!"
My nose tingled, fully understanding Atlas's thoughts. His love for Ava was clear to the world.
My parents each held a baby, walking over joyfully to show me. The two identical babies in the cradle looked around with big, shiny eyes, their expressions so pure, as if they weren't afraid of the world.
"Honey!" A magnetic, hoarse voice sounded behind me.
I withdrew my gaze and looked at Atlas. He had been with me during the delivery. After taking off his sterile suit, he still looked deeply moved.
He knelt in front of me and put his arms around me. Then, he kissed me, his voice choking as he said, "You worked hard! Thank you!"
Just then, another voice sounded from outside the crowd. "Sorry we're late!"
Everyone turned to look in the direction of the voice, only to see Ross striding in with Trinity.
"Chloe, I'm late, but I've already received the good news. It's two boys?"
Then, he looked at Atlas sincerely. "I have an unusual request, Atlas—one will be the heir of the Pierce family, and one will be the heir of Yare. What do you say?"
Atlas didn't even think twice and firmly refused. "Don't even think about it. The legacy of the Pierce family is not something just two people can inherit. As for the heir of Yare, Trinity can give birth to your successor. Don't set your sights on the Pierce family."
Everyone laughed, especially William, who was standing beside Rose.
