Raoul felt embarrassed upon seeing Fleur and Miss Lopez meeting one another. He knew the messy relationship they were involved in with Mr. Martinez.
"Miss Leroy," He still greeted politely.
Fleur said, "Go back to the car first."
Raoul obediently got in the car.
Wearing a long black dress with a dark green windbreaker by her shoulders and stilettos on her feet, Fleur looked the epitome of mature charm. The sunglasses she wore accentuated the curve of her smile too.
"Miss Lopez," she greeted first.
Compared to Fleur, Virginie was dressed much more reservedly. If Fleur was a red rose of passion, Virginie would be an elegant wood chrysanthemum, decked with different qualities of beauty.
A woman who once was on par with Odette Durand, who rejected even Olivier, naturally had her own charisma.
"Fleur Leroy? I've heard Raoul mention you. Your name is beautiful, but you yourself is even more so," Virginie said gently.
"If all we're going to do is throw praises at one another, then we can end things right now and just leave." Just as Fleur finished, Thierry drove the car over to wait by her side.
"I'll cut to the chase then." Virginie was shorter than Fleur, so she had to look up at Fleur while speaking. Fleur's beauty was flawless, Virginie thought. There was a popular saying, that two women did not need weapons to compete with one another. One only needed to be more beautiful than the other to win.
Virginie's placed a hand into her pocket so the clench of her fist remained unseen. "What's your relationship with Olivier?"
"I'm his girlfriend."
"That's impossible," Virginie denied it almost instantly.
A mocking smile crossed Fleur's face. "Do you think it's impossible because he proposed to you yet you rejected him, plus with all these years of him pampering you?"
Virginie's lips trembled.
"It doesn't matter to me that you don't believe me. You can think of it as me pursuing him then."
