Simon observed the woman's captivating features with a tilt of his head. Her innocent expression teased him.
His heart suddenly stirred hard and fast.
"Why don't you tell him how wonderful I am? I can be however he likes, sexy or cute, so he can forget about Virginie Lopez and come to me instead."
The veins in Simon's neck throbbed.
He walked over and grabbed Fleur's face, leaning down suddenly. It was not sure what he wanted to do next.
At that moment, his phone rang.
With Fleur's face still in his hand, he retrieved his phone from his pocket. "Hello?"
"Where are you?"
Olivier's voice rang out.
"I..."
"Here at..." Fleur suddenly said, but Simon silenced her with one hand the moment she spoke. His arm had reached from behind her to do so while answering the phone with another hand. It looked like he was hugging her from behind.
This close, their bodily scents intermingled. Fleur could clearly see Simon's Adam's apple bobbing at he spoke. There was no trace of fat on his chin, giving him a masculine, handsome air.
Simon's eyes flashed in warning as he glanced at her, then replied to Olivier, "Is something up?"
"Mhm."
"I'm a little busy right now. I'll call you back."
Simon hung up then looked down at Fleur. There was a bright, cunning look in her eyes. "The audacity you have, to hug Olivier's woman while talking to him."
"...You really are bold."
"That's none of your business. Why didn't you let me talk to Olivier?"
Simon pursed his lips coldly, removing his hand. "You want to talk to him that badly?"
"Well, not really," Fleur said. "Sometimes men and women need a third party's interference to grow closer, and that interference might not even have anything to do with love. That's the downside to men's nature, as well as human nature. I don't mind being a bargaining chip between you two before he falls in love with me."
