Mona's expression changed when she saw the caller ID. She lifted her up and snapped, "Why do you have a call from Jeffery?"

Jeffery?

Jane paused for a moment, and suddenly remembered that it was Jeffery, who left his phone number on her mobile phone this morning.

Jane ignored Mona and tried to get her phone. But Mona grabbed it away.

Mona asked again, "Answer me! Why do you have his phone number? Did you seduce him?"

"Give me the phone." I didn't want to answer her. I just wanted to answer the phone and find someone to save her or call the police.

However, what I did infuriated Mona completely. She slapped me and said with a distorted face, "You b*tch, it's fine if you cause trouble at Susie's wedding, but you even dare to seduce Jeffery. What right do you have to receive a call from him?"

Mona hung up Jeffery's call and deleted his number from my phone. She then blacklisted Jeffery and warned, "If you dare approach him, I'll take your life."

She said to the security guard, "Beat her up!" Then turned to me, "It would all be over before you know it if you would just shut up."

Before I came to my senses, I was kicked to the ground by one of the security guards, followed by the others. I was stunned. The pain on my body felt like it was about to fall apart. I had no time to beg for mercy and could only protect my head in desperation.

At that moment, a man in his thirties, wearing a smart suit, entered the lobby of the hotel. His face changed as he saw the scene before him. He walked slowly toward Jane, then said sternly, "Stop."

Seeing him, the security guards were completely taken aback and froze.

Even Susie and Mona's expression drastically changed when they saw him.

Susie came to her senses and walked up to the man. She smiled and asked, "Aldred, why are you here? Did my cousin ask you to come? I am to be married today. Why is he not here?"
