Valery had received almost all the other information in a day. She planned to take the analysis of Haiden back home to study. When she looked up at the time, she found that it was already 6:30 in the evening.

She confirmed the information in the chatting group and found out that all the female employees had already arrived home.

Just as she was about to pack her things and go home, she suddenly recalled something she read in Gerald's form -- the boss would always be the last to leave.

She thought for a while and took out her phone to order some food.

Haiden was skimming through the scheme that had already been modified eleven times by the planning department. The entire department was in a state of fatigue during the meeting. As he was about to let the planning department do it again, he changed his mind after noticing there might be an hour left when he finished his work.

Someone knocked on the door of his office. He didn't even raise his head and said, "Come in!"

"Mr. Cox, it's time to eat something!" Valery said. She came into his office with a plate of food and placed it on the coffee table.

Noticing that Valery had yet to leave, Haiden looked up at her and asked, "Why are you still here?"

"I'm waiting for you to get off work!" Valery said. She then looked up at Haiden and added, "I don't know what you like, so I ordered some light dishes."

"Is that porridge?" Haiden asked as he stopped his work and stood up.

"Do you like porridge?" Valery asked.

Haiden smiled but said nothing. Valery then remembered she had proposed to have some porridge with him last time when he was sick.

"Where is your dinner?" Haiden asked after seeing there was only a spoon on the table.

"Mine is on my desk!" Valery answered. She handed the spoon to Haiden and then stood up. "Call me when you finish it!" Valery said.

"Let's eat together!" Haiden said as he went to the bathroom to wash his hands.

Valery didn't refuse it. She went outside, took her porridge to his office, and sat on the sofa to eat with him. The dishes she ordered were indeed light.

"You go back home first! I will work late in the night to finish all the work today," Haiden said after the meal.

"There's no rule for the assistant to leave earlier than the boss!" Valery said. She cleaned up the coffee table and offered Haiden another cup of tea. Then she sat at her desk and began to prepare for the work the following day.

At eleven o'clock in the evening, Haiden and Valery left the company together.

In the past, Gerald also worked with him in the evening. Later on, Haiden felt that there was no need to waste his time since there was nothing to tell him to do, so he asked him to get off work early. Since then, he often worked at night alone.
