Laura was taken aback by her determination, momentarily speechless. Josie was the first to break the silence, asking with a smile, "Are you content with your current situation?"

Laura glanced unconsciously at Zach, who was smoking outside. "Well, at the very least, it's fulfilling."

"That's good. I hope the Olsen family can provide you with a sense of fulfillment instead of self-denial." Josie propped her head up. "I'm happy for you, as it seems you're no longer held back by Zach."

Laura didn't argue, as it was the truth.

Since Zach wasn't Mark's biological child, it was foreseeable that most of the family's future assets wouldn't be handed over to Laura.

"Most likely going abroad, but the final destination hasn't been decided yet."

Laura felt puzzled but finally understood why Josie had sought her out. "But—"

"Laura," Josie interrupted, taking an envelope out of her bag and handing it over. "After I leave, please take care of Mark and Claudia. I'm not a good daughter in the traditional sense, unable to let go of the past. Please give this letter to Claudia for me."

Laura glanced down at the cowhide envelope on the table. "Me?"

"Yes. You're the only one I trust."
