Blind date turned proposal (Josie and Dexter) novel Chapter 1082

Grape had no choice but to turn towards Josie.

Her obedient demeanor tugged at Josie's heart. She sighed and said, "I have some work to do. Why don't you go play with Ms. Whiteford for a while? Once I'm finished, I'll come right back."

"Okay."

A child of just over a year old would naturally have a strong attachment to their mother. It was truly heartbreaking to see her suppress her sadness.

"Don't worry. I will take good care of Grape," Mallory assured.

"Don't let Calvin spoil her. Keep an eye on them," Josie reminded.

"Leave it to me." Mallory gave Lachlan a mischievous smile and then walked away with Grape.

Josie took it all in and explained to Lachlan, "She's a woman, after all. It's more convenient."

"I understand, Alice. It seems like you all know more than I do," Lachlan said weakly.

Ever since Dexter appeared, it felt as if Josie was gradually returning to a past that had nothing to do with him.

Josie didn't know how to describe such a relationship. In her silent pause, Larry, who had been watching from a distance for a long time, finally approached.

"Ms. Warren, it's time to leave."

Josie glanced to the side. Dexter was not far away, exuding a hint of weariness.

When the subordinate brought the car around, he was extremely respectful as he said, "I was not aware that your flight had been rescheduled to an earlier time, hence the delay, Mr. Russell. Please accept my apologies."

It was a Tesla fresh from the car dealership, which, for him, wasn't considered too extravagant.

The atmosphere in the car was heavy. Larry was driving in the front seat. "Moses will arrive tomorrow."

It's been a long time since I've heard that name.

Dexter subtly lifted his gaze, while Josie sat in the corner, staring at the scenery outside, seemingly oblivious to everything around her.

"Have you made the arrangements regarding the matter with Mr. Dalton?"

"I have. It will just be a regular meal, but he doesn't know what we're really up to."

I see.

Two years have passed. It's time for a change.
