Blind date turned proposal (Josie and Dexter) novel Chapter 1365

Morgan turned around and was met with her annoyed face, animated and adorable.

“I did,” he said.

“What do you think?” Josie asked, leaning in closer.

“It's nothing special.”

Josie was at a loss for words.

Noticing her stiffened expression, Morgan chuckled. “That scene just now brought me back. I thought I saw you back in our college days. It's like I time traveled.”

“I didn't come here to talk about the old days with you.”

“I'm just joking. It's a good plan. I can tell it's from you.”

It's not entirely from me. Josie murmured inwardly, fiddling with her fingers.

“What are you doing in Newcove?” she asked.

Morgan became nonchalant again, resting his hand on the handle. “Autumn's here. I've heard that it's beautiful in Newcove during autumn, so I thought I'd come and see it for myself.”

“Just a few days ago, you were raving about how incredibly pretty it was in Wavery during autumn.”

Having been exposed, Morgan didn't get upset. Instead, his smile grew wider. “I'm here to hang out with a few friends. Why don't you join us?” he suggested.

Morgan's friends, huh?

Josie had seen his friends before. They were all just as laid-back as he was, and she surmised they probably hadn't changed one bit after all these years.

She wasn't really interested, “Once the plane lands, I'll book my return flight. Enjoy your trip.”

“Fine. Then let's consider our collaboration null and void,” Morgan said with a devil-may-care attitude.

He sounded like he was saying, “Hmm, the weather's getting cold. Let's make the Witherspoon family go bankrupt.”

Josie panicked, knowing Morgan was fully capable of doing such a thing.
