Everyone’s eyes widened, suspecting that they had misheard, and they looked at Jack excitedly. They hadn’t expected this ordinary driver to be the champlon of a fighting championship. 

“Caroline.” Everyone was still used to calling her by name.. 

“Your husband is amazing. He’s actually a lighting champion.” 

“How romantic. A fighting champion like him willingly gave up his career for his wife just to drive her everywhere.”

Caroline smiled half–heartedly at everyone’s compliments and explained, “You have the wrong idea. Mr. Jack isn’t my husband.” 

Everyone was stunned, and their eyes landed on Vivian. “But Vivian” 

Her claims had sounded well–founded. 

When Vivian heard Caroline’s words, she calmed down a lot. She mocked, “That makes sense. There’s no way a fighting champion can be your husband.”

Then, he handed one of the papers to Caroline and explained, “Jack used to be from Easton, then he went abroad. Before he did, he met 

you and fell in love with you. 

“However, because you and Eddy were engaged, he had no choice but to go abroad.” 

He paused before saying, “Later, when he found out you had broken off the engagement with Eddy, he rushed back to Easton. But unfortunately, it was still too late. When he returned, he found out that you were married — Quentin scratched his head. 

Why did he feel a sense of familiarity the more he talked?
