Kirk knew he should have severed his ties with the Morrisons when his father had run away from home.

“Ed, h–how could Grandpa just leave like that?” Layla imitated Caroline and started crying.

“You had nothing to do with Grandpa’s passing. This is all Howard’s fault, and I’ll definitely make him pay with his life.” 

Caroline put her hand on her forehead. “Let me stay. I want to send him off.” Although she wasn’t exactly part of the family, she didn’t care about that. 

Howard might have caused Jude’s death, but he wouldn’t have died if he hadn’t saved her. So she had to send Jude off for one last ride. Perhaps this could slightly alleviate her guilt. 

Eddy was very worried that she would collapse. “You must go home and rest. You need to be 

properly rested before you can handle Grandpa’s funeral, right?”

and followed Caroline.
