I didn't dare to shout, so I whispered, " Miss. Roberts, you must have misunderstood, I really did not steal that ring!"

Salome sneered. "Don't say that you didn't steal it. If someone like you had been truly wronged, you would have already blustered. How could you even lower your voice? You must be afraid of attracting the attention of others!" She said.

I was so angry at her words that I almost lost my mind. I didn't make a sound because I was of high moral quality, but she thought I was a sinner! I said, "Miss.
