Linda was so amazed by his words that she forgot to push but looked at Michael Huo intently.
Fascinated by her reaction, Michael Huo licked lips and bowed to kiss her gently.
Then, he propped again to look at Linda, "you may feel it's...not real. But I hope you know that I'm serious."
After words, he smiled, "I know you don't like the smell of wine. I go to bathe."
He climbed out of bed reluctantly and staggered to the bathroom.
Linda lay on the bed without moving for a long time.
“Linda, I love you.”
She could not help frowning.
For something in her heart was...palpitating.
---
When Michael Huo came out after a cold bath, Linda was sitting on the sofa with her knees in her arms and looking out of the window.
It's raining heavily outside.
The black glass windows were full of rain drops.
And she was surrounded by a sense of loneliness.
Michael Huo wiped hair to come over.
"What's the matter?"
Linda sat on the sofa with her chin resting on knees and murmured, "what is affection?"
Michael Huo was confused, and didn't understand what she meant.
Linda looked up at him and her black eyes were darker than usual. Suddenly, she laughed, "is it being turned to dust or being doomed eternally?"
Michael Huo didn't answer, just staring at her.
What is affection?
Being turned to dust?
Being doomed eternally?
Half a while, he sat down.
And still didn't say anything.
For he knew that, Linda closed her heart tightly and she never needed armchair strategy.
What she wanted was everything real.
"It's not early. Go to bed!"
Linda saw that he didn't answer, so she didn't ask anymore.
She got up to the bedside, naturally lifted the quilt to lie down on the edge of bed.
Through her action, Michael Huo recognized that she still didn't want to be too close to him.
Therefore, he leaned to the edge, "I won't touch you. Come to the middle. Do not fall down!"
Linda didn't answer.
---
Both of them didn't sleep well last night.
But George Mo had a good sleep for his drunk.
The next morning, Michael Huo took her downstairs for breakfast, then drove to Austral City directly.
As for George Mo, he hadn't woken up yet.
So they didn't wake him up, just letting him sleep.
It took more than two hours to get back to Austral City.
However, along the way, Michael Huo and Linda didn't talk to each other.
Holding the jaw, Linda leaned against the window to look at the view passing by hurriedly outside.
Occasionally, Michael Huo looked at her, but he could only saw the back of her head, or, a side face.
It's early in the morning, so there was no one else on the highway.
Michael Huo drove very fast.
Originally it's an more-than-two-hour drive, while he took only an hour and 40 minutes.
And the destination was the hospital.
"Go up!" he parked the car, and loosened his seat belt.
Linda looked the underground parking garage, and thought for a while, then she got off the car.
Michael Huo took out the phone and sent a message. Then he held her hands to take the elevator.
Soon they reached the private ward floor.
This floor was full of VIP wards, where nurses stood guard at the door, and the visitors needed to verify their identities when they got inside to see patients.
However, Michael Huo and Linda were also public figures.
Moreover, they have been reported many times. So the nurse immediately made way seeing them.
Inside, Mary Yun was lying in bed, taking transfusion.
Sitting on the side, Gu Liangchen fed her porridge mouthful.
James Yun, sitting on the sofa talked with David Huo.
And Qu Zhirong, sitting on the other side of Mary Yun, holding Mary Yun's hand, was watching her gently to let her eat slowly.
"Mom, I can't eat any more..." Mary Yun really had no appetite, so she shook head to refuse to have porridge Gu Liangchen handed over.
"Mary, you haven't eaten all day yesterday. Have some more." Gu Liangchen frowned.
"Well, Mary,it's not good for your health. Is the porridge not good enough? What do you wanna eat? I let the kitchen cook for you." Qu Zhirong gently said.
Mary Yun looked at Qu Zhirong with a sad expression, "thank you mom...but I just can't eat..."
Then, she lowered head in an absent-minded manner.
Seeing this, Qu Zhirong asked her assistant, "call Michael right now. Let him come over!"
"Yes, Madam!"
The assistant was just about to make a phone call.
Suddenly, the door opened.
The crowd looked over and all stunned for a moment.
Qu Zhirong first saw his son, and when she was ready to smile, she saw Linda behind him. So she got angry suddenly.
"Why you bring her here? Don't you think she has done enough?" Qu Zhirong stood up and questioned in a voice as cold as in a January day.
David Huo was somehow unhappy about his wife Qu Zhirong's reaction.
But he didn't stop for the thing Linda stabbed Mary Yun was not a small matter.
However, Michael Huo ignored his mother's roar and went straight to the bedside.
At the moment, Mary Yun was bowing head to cry, showing how sad she was.
"Did I tell you, not to bother her?" Suddenly, Michael Huo inquired.
But his words shocked everyone.
What did that mean?
Bother who?
Bother Linda?
Mary Yun was scared for Michael Huo's angry eyes and her lips and hands were trembling heavily.
