Can't Let Go novel Chapter 91

  "No..."

  "No... Don't come here..."

  "Go away...Go away..."

Michael Huo was woken with a start at once, while the woman in his arms fainted from fear. Her eyes remained closed, but her body reacted in an unusual way.

"Nian, wake up..." The man knitted his brows slightly as if being anxious.

  "No, go away-go away!"

"Linda Yun, it's me!" Michael Huo hastened to put her hair on the forehead behind her ears, and not until then did he discover that her hair had been drenched.

  "Go away, go away-"

  Her voice was anxious.

"Linda Yun!" Michael Huo hastened to raise his voice, and pressed on her lower jaw, "It's me, open up your eyes and look!"

Linda Yun was fixed by him and couldn't move.

  "Look at me!"

The man's voice was like a tranquilizer around her ears.

Linda Yun stopped struggling at once, and slowly opened her eyes...

  "Don't be afraid, it's me!"

Linda Yun stared at him for a few seconds. She suddenly reached out her hand and pushed him violently with terrifying strength.

Michael Huo stepped back on being pushed by her without warning.

Linda Yun recoiled rapidly and leaned towards the bedside.

"Nian, it's me!" He said softly.

However, by taking a close look, one could see that there was depression underneath those smiling eyes.

Linda Yun held herself tightly and her body still trembled.

"Nian, it's me, I'm here to take you home..."

  "Ho..home.." Linda Yun suddenly murmured.

Michael Huo was amazed and said hastily, "Right, I'll take you home."

Linda Yun raised her eyes slowly and looked at him. The eyes that had been without focus became normal again gradually.

After a while, she suddenly curved her lips and smiled in a way that made one feel sorry for her, "You are here finally!"

  It hurt.

Michael Huo was hurt badly by those words.

He never knew that those simple words would make his heart jerk like that.

In a moment, the man blinked his eyes, and said in a coarse and dry voice, "I'm here to pick you up, don't be afraid, OK?"

Linda Yun didn't say anything, and just moved her eyelids.

After remaining silent for a long time, she raised her eyes again and looked at him.

  "Have I..been...?"

"No!" Michael Huo interrupted her directly, "Long Tian was there in time, and you are fine!"

Linda Yun slightly twitched the corner of her lips, her eyelids were trembling violently, while crystal clear tears filled up her eyes at once.

Then, she bit her lips desperately and held herself tightly, while scratching her arms with both hands forcefully.

On seeing this, Michael Huo hastened to come up and grasp her hands, "Stop it! Your arms are going to get hurt if you keep scratching!"

Unexpectedly, the moment he touched her hand, she recoiled subconsciously.

She was staring at him defensively.

Such a stare made Michael Huo slightly stunned.

"Don't... don't touch me..." She took great pains to manage normal rate of speech. She smiled at him in an embarrassing way, "Don't... get close to me, OK?"

At this moment, the man had a severe heartache, as if an electric current had run through his whole body.

The room became quiet at once.

Linda Yun remained silent, and the whole person was like a puppet.

Nobody knew what she was thinking about.

Michael Huo remained still. He sat on a chair next to her while waiting for her all the time.

Nobody knew how long it had been.

Only when a nurse walked over was the silence broken.

"Ms. Yun, you are awake. It's time for you to take medicine!" While saying this, the nurse handed her some medicine and a water cup.

Linda Yun knitted her brows, and overthrew the medicine and water cup in hand straight away subconsciously.

"Bang!" It was a loud noise in the solitary night.

The nurse was frozen, and forgot to react.

"Linda Yun!" Michael Huo rushed over, and wanted to check whether her hand had been hurt.

"Don't come over here!" Linda Yun said sternly on seeing him getting near.

Michael Huo's footsteps stopped when he was just half a meter from her.

The air fell into dead silence again.

"So..so..sorry...So...sorry, I'll get you some new medicine..." The nurse shivered.

That was the most advanced VIP ward. Patients living here were either wealthy or noble.

Nurses like her couldn't afford to provoke them.

"That's not necessary, get out!" The man said faintly.

The nurse was relieved at once. She hastened to pick up the water up and medicine from the floor, closed the door in a hurry, and left.

She bit her red lips, and looked wronged as if she had thought of something.

"It's OK, if you don't fell like eating it, you don't have to." Michael Huo poured her a cup of water while saying it.

He walked up to her, and wanted to hand it to her. But he was afraid that she would refuse him.

So he placed it on the table.

"Sorry..." Her voice was terribly coarse.

"It's all right!" Michael Huo smiled faintly, but his smile wasn't prolonged.

It was only because of the worry in his eyes outweighed it.

Linda Yun raised her head and looked at him with her pitch-black eyes directly, which set off the paleness of her face even more, "I don't want to stay in the hospital. I wanna go home..."

"Fine!" He didn't refuse her, nor could he.

  "Thanks..."

Her eyes drooped once more, and her fine and long eyelids cast a shadow on her fine skin...

  -

  It was 3:30 a.m.

A limousine was zooming all the way in the quiet night.

Linda Yun sat in the back row, wrapped up tightly in her clothes. She cast her glance out of the window, and was as quiet as a porcelain doll.

Michael Huo would occasionally looked in the rear-view mirror, and he could only see the loneliness on her side face.

  Forty minutes later.

  They were at the Huo's.
