Can't Resist the Billionaire novel Chapter 49

Before I could explain, Vincent immediately bowed excitedly and kissed my lips. Compared to his overbearing kiss before, he was more patient and gentle today. I couldn't help but be aroused by him.

My fingers involuntarily stretched to his back. I held the man tightly, half resisting and half mumbling obediently. "What are you doing? Don't you know that my foot is injured?"

Vincent's movements were gentle, but he didn't allow me to resist. He swore and whispered in my ear, "Jasmine, I swear that I will only have you in the future. If I break my oath, I will die in a bad way!"

"Don't say such scary words. I don't like them!"

"I don't know why he made such a poisonous vow, and I don't know if such a vow is meaningful to him. But I really don't like listening. Perhaps compared with the dead, even if I am abandoned, it is better to see this man who used to have close contact with me die in front of me."

Perhaps I'm an indecisive person. So even if I knew Christopher betrayed me and sold me, I still didn't have that kind of decisive attitude towards him.

But maybe it was my personality and reaction, that finally made the other side think that he was good at bullying, or they had no more feelings for him.

Vincent drove back to City B early in the morning. As soon as he left, Mr. Murphy called. Last night, in order to make it convenient for me to contact Mr. Murphy, Vincent input his phone number into my phone. Of course, before that, Vincent gave my phone number to Mr. Murphy.

When I saw the word Duke Murphy displayed on my phone, I knew that it was President Mr. Murphy. I was a little afraid of him, so I waited for a while before answering it.

He had a good temper. He wasn’t angry because of my delay in answering the phone. His tone was as polite as last night. "Is Miss Jasmine ready? Am I going to pick you up, or do you come down yourself?"

Even through the phone, I could feel his oppressive aura. I stuttered, "No, no need. I can go down by myself. I don't need to bother you!"

Duke might have noticed the injury on my leg last night, so he asked with concern. "Is your foot okay? Why don't I go upstairs?"

"Don't..." Before I finished my words, he had hung up decisively. It seemed that he was going to come up.

I held the phone in a daze. Before I could think of how to get in touch with such a person, the doorbell rang.

I knew that it was Duke. I looked up at the door and hesitated for a moment. Finally, I stood up and opened the door.

I was indeed a little nervous, but since they had come to find me, I couldn't be too timid to open the door. Just see a house, andwould only take half a day at most.

Besides, didn't Vincent say that he wasn't interested in women last night? So what was he afraid of? Was I afraid that he would kill me if I said something wrong?
