"Christopher, you have explained it very well, and I accept it. But you have to understand that there are many paths in life, and sometimes when you choose one, there is no way back. Don't think I'll be grateful just because you tell me the truth, or I'll be with you again with tears. Sorry, I can't do it. We really can't go back!"
I laughed coldly and turned around. Then I went to the bedroom to pack my clothes and decided to leave. All of a sudden I felt this city where I'd lived for years was so dirty. I wanted to leave, like completely.
I didn't want see either Vincent or Christopher again. I just wanted to bury everything that happened today. I need to start all over again.
Seeing me suddenly go to the bedroom to pack my luggage, Christopher suddenly chased me desperately, and threw the clothes in my hand on the ground in a rage: "What the hell you doing? Who allowed you to leave?"
I looked down at the clothes on the ground but didn't pick them up. I continued to take my clothes out of the wardrobe and put them in the case. "I have nothing more to do with you. Even if I do, it's just paper certificate. I am going to leave here, Vincent, and you. I hope you will not exchange me for Vincent's money, if you still have any dignity!"
"You are my woman, and I don't allow you to leave!" Christophe seemed to be crazy, and suddenly threw me onto the bed. When I was knocked down by him, my waist inadvertently knocked on the bedside table, and I suddenly felt painful.
Moreover, my feet had already injured, so I almost hadn't any strength to resist.
Even so, Christopher still refused to let go of me. He carried me onto the bed with his hand reached into my clothes, pushed up my underwear, and squeezed randomly on my chest. "Jasmine, you're my wife. You can only be mine!"
I didn't fight back and just let him rummage around like a corpse. Only when he sensed something was wrong did he stop and look at me. I sneered, "Christopher, is this how you treat your woman?"
Christopher's body stiffened under my sharp gaze. Suddenly he rose from my body and said in a stubborn tone, "Jasmine, don't make me!"
I tidied up my clothes and got up from bed. "You didn't touch me when I was asleep, did you?"
Christopher turned his head and glared hatefully at me. In a fit of pique, he said, "It's not too late for me to touch you now!"
"You are not that sort of person!" I heaved a long sigh, and said in a calm tone. "If you are true, then you are still the original you. The Christopher I know isn't a man who only uses violence to solve problems, which is why you didn't rape me!"
Perhaps it was my gentle words that gave Christopher a glimmer of hope. He looked at me in surprise and asked m, "I'm still the same. Jasmine, can we return to the past?"
"No!" I swept away Christopher's hand that was hugging my shoulder. My voice then turned ice-cold without any sense of texture, "Like I said, a mistake is a mistake. To save your family, you betrayed your love. Since you've made your choice, then please don't regret!"
After that, enduring the pain on my waist, I limped and intended to leave here. I even decided to give up my luggage.
