Xavier stood in the corridor outside the patient room and glanced warily at the two lines of guards 

standing there. Their uniform posture and cold demeanor sent a chill down his spine. 

The door to Jasper’s room flung open, followed by the heavy thud of military boots. 

Liam showed up with a stoic expression while adjusting his beret. After years of strict military training, he

He started coughing violently after suppressing the bout of cough during his argument with Liam. 

The hollowness of the cough scared Xavier out of his skin as tears welled up in his eyes. He pleaded, ”

“Don’t worry about it. I will survive. I’ve escaped many near-death experiences and sustained multiple 

injuries, but I’m still kicking.” 

Jasper puffed his chest and took a deep breath. His eyes were burning in rage when he replayed Liam’s 

insult in his mind. 

Liam had described him as a disgrace to the military. 

That was so unfair.
