Capturing the Millionaire’s Heart on Divorce Day novel Chapter 129

Chapter 0129

William had carefully selected a team of servants through stringent training, placing them in Ethan’s various residences. Today’s group had previously tended to Ethan’s needs, with the team’s leader, known as Brother Jia, a robust 36-year-old who bore the air of a seasoned official, earning trust and reassurance for his reliable demeanor.

Brother Jia promptly conducted a thorough review of Wood Lake Grandeur, inventorying the household items and assigning the servants to their respective floors with a detailed list of names and responsibilities. He presented the summary to Ethan, who was in his study.

Without looking up, Ethan simply instructed, “Handle it as you see fit. Focus on the second floor; we need some tight-lipped individuals with brains.”

Understanding the assignment, Brother Jia acknowledged,” Understood.”

The social media storm had yet to subside.

As the adultery scandal reached its boiling point, Ethan busied himself with corporate affairs. The chairman couldn’t possibly enjoy leisure every day, and the recent days without travel were akin to a vacation for him. Amidst a mountain of accumulated duties, Ethan juggled concern for Madison’s health, keeping tabs on the police. station, and the nagging fatigue and irritation.

On F******k, the incessant tagging and infuriating inquiries persisted, most probing whether it was Madison who had seduced him first.

As darkness enveloped the sky, Ethan lit a cigarette, his agitation peaking as he brusquely opened F******k on his phone, swiftly typing out a message before hitting ‘publish.’

Michael arrived bearing a bank card and a contract, “This is the

matrimonial property split from Lucas, now deposited in this card, accompanied by the contract.”

Sighing deeply as he took a seat, Michael advised, “You’re under Intense scrutiny, Best to stay indoors to avoid the paparazzi’s antics disrupting your mood.”

He knew Ethan typically shrugged off gossip, but now, with a vulnerability in Madison, Ethan seemed prone to impulsiveness.

“Which media outlet started this mess?” Ethan asked as he snuffed out his finished cigarette.

“A significant one,” replied Michael.

“Reach out to their competitors, let them quote a price.”

“For what?”

Pen in hand, Ethan never ceasing his work, replied, “To ensure that media outlet’s decline.”

Michael raised an eyebrow, unsurprised by Ethan’s thoughts, “Why not just buy them out?”

“First, that’s not revenge. Second, I need to save money.”

“What?” Michael cleaned his ear in disbelief, “Did you just say you’re going bankrupt?”

Jokingly, he presented his own bank card, “Here’s a little something for emergencies.”

Ethan paused his writing to look at him, a half-smile on his face, “Not going bankrupt. I’m planning to purchase a new airliner.”

Relieved, Michael exhaled, “You scared me. I thought your company was in trouble because of the news. But why a new airliner out of the

blue? With over 800 planes, you’re surpassing the national airline.”

Ethan casually answered, “It’s for Madison.”

Michael’s expression froze. He could tell that Ethan was fond of Madison, even deeply so, but he never imagined the extent of that affection!

“Brother, it’s a good thing Madison is your only girlfriend. If you had exes everywhere, you’d be bankrupt by now,” Michael exclaimed with sincerity.

Romancing with giant airliners as gifts, who could withstand that?!

After wrapping up urgent matters, Ethan took a sip from his glass, his conversation with Michael carrying a touch of earnestness-

“You might scoff, but seeing her content smile makes all my past endeavors feel far more meaningful. It drives me to work even harder, not just for myself, but to serve the people.”

It was a statement too solemn for mockery.

Serving the people.

Such lofty ambitions and ideals.

Michael considered himself an ordinary man, lucky to know a tycoon like Ethan, his other desires no different from the average person.

Today a good meal, tomorrow another, and the day after, living for pleasure, nothing more.

As a lawyer, Michael had more right to claim service to the people, but he lacked the courage to do so.

“So, you’re thinking of marrying her?” Michael probed further.

The two spoke as brothers, Ethan not hiding his intentions, “Since I first saw her helicopter hovering over the sea, I’ve wanted to marry

her.”

But he was also aware that Madison needed time.

Unbeknownst to Ethan, his impulsive F******k post in a moment of irritation had caused an internet sensation.

Meanwhile, on F******k.

Ethan’s official account posted a new status, brusquely down-to-

earth.

Just a few words-

[It was me who chased Madison first, okay?]

The post immediately went viral, and the screenshot spread like wildfire across the net.

Mukino International’s irate Chairman Ethan was clarifying who

courted whom.

Netizens were subdued by his outburst.

They dared not challenge his authority.

The top comment timidly inquired-

[Just wondering, Mr. Chairman, are you and your girlfriend still in love?
