Capturing the Millionaire’s Heart on Divorce Day novel Chapter 134

Chapter 0134

Had Ethan and that Madison reached a point of such intimacy that they now had private domains?

What was Shi Hua to do?

Her competitive spirit flared unexpectedly as she clenched her hands, maintaining a polite smile, “And you would be…?”

Caught off guard, Amelia hadn’t expected Shi Hua to actually inquire about her identity.

What did this mean? A challenge? Contempt?

With a hand casually propped against the wall, Amelia’s smile was fiery as she introduced herself, “Let me introduce myself. My name is Amelia, one character shy of Zhuo Wenjun. Professionally a flight attendant, but I also excel at swatting flies.”

The introduction seemed normal enough until the last sentence.

“Swatting flies?” Shi Hua looked perplexed, “What do you mean by that?”

“Ever heard of a chief secretary, or a professional driver? Well, I am President Grant’s professional fly swatter. Specifically for…”

“Whack-whack-”

Amelia mimed the motion of swatting, even adding the sound effects for good measure, and offered a friendly, narrowed-eye smile, “for pesky annoyances.”

It took a moment for Shi Hua to grasp Amelia’s innuendo, realizing she was the fly in question, being called out so blatantly.

Shi Hua wanted to explode in indignation but restrained herself, given

that she was in Ethan’s home. This was the first time someone had ridiculed her to her face, and she was seething.

Meanwhile, Jessica nearly burst into laughter.

That fly swatter analogy… too apt.

Downstairs, Madison already turned away, covering her eyes in

amusement.

Amelia, meanwhile, felt her phone buzz with notifications, her grin only widening as she unsheathed her verbal blade-

“Miss Shi, I’ve never worked abroad, so I’m not familiar with any creatures called green-headed flies. Have you seen one? Big, bulging eyes, green all over, leaving a nauseating scent when squashed. And you know, they tend to linger in off putting places, refusing to leave

despite being shooed. Isn’t it pointless for them to have such big eyes?”

Shi Hua’s face almost matched the color of the aforementioned fly.

If she didn’t leave now, it would be tantamount to admitting defeat.

“If Ethan is busy, I’ll take my leave.” Without waiting for Amelia’s response, Shi Hua turned and left.

Amelia rolled her eyes at Shi Hua’s retreating figure, mimicking in a taunting tone, “Ethan Ethan~~~”

“Great at calling out, shameless.”

At that moment, the study door opened, and Ethan stepped out, looking appreciatively at Amelia.

She beamed back, fully embracing her role as the ‘fly swatter’.

In the living room on the ground floor, Madison watched Shi Hua’s hasty departure. Suddenly, she felt arms encircle her from behind, prompting her to turn.

Ethan rested his chin on her neck, not even glancing outside, “Has she

left?”

“Just got into her car,” Madison glanced at Ethan from the corner of her eye, “Are you two close?”

“Just acquaintances, she was a student of my mother’s.”

“She likes you,” Madison stated the fact.

“It’s unimportant, not a concern of mine.”

Ethan changed the subject, “If you fly international routes, you can commute with me.”

“Hm?” Madison blinked, “Is the international terminal close to your

office?”

“Yes, it’s on the way.”

With the Shi Hua incident behind them, they enjoyed dinner together. Amelia, in high spirits, volunteered to help Jessica with the dishes.

After dinner, Ethan pulled Madison into his study.

No sooner had Madison entered than Ethan commandeered her phone. She had no secrets from him, and she comfortably sat in

office chair.

Ethan played with her phone, leaning over her and the chair back, wrapping her in a hug from behind.

Madison watched as he opened F******k, looking like he intended to write something.

“What’s up?”

“You post,” Ethan’s voice was soft, almost pleading.

Madison took her phone, confused, “What should I post?”

Ethan tilted his head, his voice laced with an enticing drawl, “Madison,

let’s go public.”

Public?

“Aren’t we already? The news all over Slandon Harbor is about us.”

Ethan shook his head, “It’s different coming from you. There’s still

talk of fake news.”

A possessive desire, long concealed, was now overtaking Ethan’s sensibility.

He wanted the world to know Madison belonged to him, out of reach from anyone else.

Madison’s gaze warmed up and she smiled indulgently, “Alright, how do you want me to post it?”

Ethan, seemingly waiting for just that response, placed his phone before her.

She stared at the phone screen, a resigned smile touching her lips.

Two minutes later, Madison hit ‘Post, and her status update appe online alongside Ethan’s simultaneously.

After posting, Ethan admired their updates on Madison’s phone fo while before putting it down and pulling her with him to prepare fo bed.

“I’ll miss you when you report for work tomorrow.”

Ethan clung to Madison as she washed up.

Madison wiped water from her face, looking at him in the mirror, “I’m just going to work, what’s there to miss?”

“If you fly international, we might only see each other every few days. I wish I hadn’t helped you get those international flight routes.” Ethan
