As a father, even though he never expressed with words, only he knows how much he missed them and how much he felt guilty leaving them all alone.
Richard's mansion was 40 minutes away from the airport, so with Liam's driving skills, they took about 30 minutes; Kate usually fell asleep whenever David was with her, no matter how small or distant she was traveling.
But at this moment, she only felt she couldn't keep her eyes closed for a second, as if she would fall asleep the next second and miss the moment of finally seeing her family.
David felt her hand on his palm, sweating intensely; he felt her nervousness, so he tightened his hold. "Everything is going to be okay." This requirement from this man was like heaven's will for her.
Her restless heart finally calmed down, and she smiled brightly.
The car stopped in front of the first check post before they could enter Richard's mansion; Liam lowered the window on both sides, the military officer walked to the car, and Adam put his head through the window and smiled at the officers.
When they finally realized who it was, they saluted traditionally, "Young master." Then, when the officers realized who would be in the car, they immediately stepped aside and let the car enter inside.
Fearing other security officers would block the car in every check post, he informed the other officers their young master had returned, so they should not dare to stop the car that was about to enter the mansion soon.
Everyone became alert; they were happy indeed. However, in the past months, they saw how the entire mansion's people were surrounded by sadness when they heard the news of their young master's death.
But they were not fools after being from an individual force. Even the young master's father tried to search for him. He suddenly stopped their search and told them the Richard family's young master was missing. They didn't want to use the world's death for their child.
Since the young master's parents and old senior sat calmly and waited, they knew nothing terrible would happen to their master, but they did not know what their young master was playing.
They entered with no interruption; when the car finally stopped at the main gate of the mansion, Kate felt like jumping from the car like a frog and entered inside the mansion.
David was helpless seeing her careless acts, but he didn't stop her, he just opened the door for her, and before he could even step out of the car with Daniel in his arms, Kate ran out of the car and ran inside to the mansion.
Liam laughed, but he understood she missed her children terribly; Adam walked out, looking at the mansion's door; he wouldn't say he didn't miss anyone.
He missed them when he felt helpless because David was on the edge of death; he had to bear the fear of losing his brother like a friend.
He missed all of them how he wished they would be with him.
David stepped out of the car and walked hurriedly to chase his excited wife; with his long legs, walking at speed was enough to follow her; he was worried about her getting hurt from over-excitement; for him, her safety came first.
Kate stood before the main door, knowing she was just a door separated from her children; she pressed the doorbell nonstop like a disobedient and impatient child.
David just hugged her waist to keep her secure in his arms; seeing her pressing the doorbell, David and the other two were speechless; at least she should give a second for the people inside to walk to the door to open.
Daniel was looking at his mother curiously, might try to understand what she was trying to say; he raised his hand, wanting his mother to carry him, but David put his hand down. "Be obedient." He strictly told as if it was not his spoiled wife causing trouble.
Liam and Adam rolled their eyes; their nephew was obedient and lovable enough, he should say this to his wife, but he just stood side by side with his wife and let her do as she wanted.
Inside the mansion, madam Richard couldn't help but frown; she quickened her speed and opened the door to see who was impatient to press the ring bell continuously.
Back to the present moment,
Nina and Rose didn't care if they were noble ladies or someone who shouldn't act childish at such a young age; they ran as if they ran for a marathon and almost jumped on the person if a pair of hands didn't pull them back.
"Carefully, you two will hurt the babies." This stern warning made them return to their senses and tearfully raised their heads.
This voice was not unfamiliar to them; even if they forgot the world, they could recognize this voice even from the end of the world.
"Brother." Nina and Rose called out while sobbing; they never let the surrounding people worry about them and didn't reveal the anxious feeling they had in their hearts.
But seeing their brother and sister standing before them alive and well, their feeling wouldn't even be enough if the entire world gathered in one place.
Kate was also sobbing silently; these girls were sisters to her more than sister-in-law; she could feel their worry and fear, and she also knew how it felt like losing the entire world you thought would never leave you and then being crushed in the next second.
David handed Daniel to Liam and carried Devin and Destiny in his arms; it was nothing for him; on the other hand, he patted Nina and Rose's heads.
"It's okay; everything is over now, don't cry." He knows his sisters would lose their confidence when something happens to him, not because of his power but their love for him.
Nina and Rose nodded; yeah, everything was over now, the bad time had passed, and light finally appeared in their lives.
Their brother- and sister-in-law came back with their nephew, Rose and Nina hugged Kate, and the trilogy cried their hearts out.
