"South Mansion." David put down the iPad and leaned back, closing his eyes, completely shutting the world from his brain, only thinking about returning to his wife.
They drove their master back to the south mansion and left as they had never appeared there.
When David returned to their home, it was already past 10 pm; the children were already sleeping and didn't even wake to bother their mother's sleep; Rose took Noah with her since she saw Nina's mood was down.
When David was about to walk upstairs, a show stood behind him, familiar with the person; David stopped on his track.
He turned back and looked into these sad eyes ``what happened? Something is bothering you?" Seeing her helpless expression, David knew something troubled his little sister.
Like a mother hen, David didn't need to ask about anything; he could tell from their eyes how Nina looked at him as if seeking help, but she couldn't voice out her problem.
David stepped back and walked to her; he raised his hand and touched her forehead, wondering if she was sick or if something was bothering her, but seeing she was physically okay, David patted her head "what happened?"
He asked gently, showing how much patience he had over his sister, not because she was his blood sister, but because this girl suffered so much at such a young age; he knew she was still hiding in the past.
But now that she lives happily, he doesn't mind hiding her problem as long as she does nothing to harm herself.
Nina kept staring at her brother, who didn't know how to start; David didn't hurry her, patiently waiting for her to speak.
Finally, Nina couldn't stop and sobbed in silence "what did I do, brother?" This was enough to break David's heart; he thought he was having some problem, not knowing this matter could be grave for her to react like this.
David immediately hugged the girl, walked to the couch, and sat; he silently patted her back. David had seen her past, so he knew it was better. However, he did not ask her anything until she calmed down, not to make the matter worse.
After a few moments, Nina finally calmed down; she raised her face, which was now stained with tears; David used his thumb to wipe off her tears.
"Just tell brother, don't cry; your brother's heart will be in pain; I can see the world suffer rather than seeing your sister, Rose, and you in tears; you three are the pearls in my eyes," David said with little expression.
But Nina knew her brother said everything from his heart. If their sister-in-law and babies were his life, then his two younger sisters and Noah were the foundation of his life.
Nina tried her best and controlled her sobs; she looked at her hands and finally opened her mouth.
"Brother, did you know about the secret of the Welsh family, even Noah's?" Nina's words were like switching on the light in David's head.
His face darkened a few degrees, and he just returned; he wanted to handle this matter after settling Oscar Astor, but it seems this matter needs his attention.
"Yeah, I know." David had already found out she knew about this matter, so hiding it would only worsen her mind.
Hearing the answer Nina didn't want to hear, she felt her heart was nowhere to be found; since her brother knew, does it mean he already knew what Ace Welsh said was true?
"Then, brother, is there any way to prevent this in Noah?" This time, Nina didn't dare to blink because she didn't want to think about the possibility; she would allow nothing to happen to her son.
David was silent. "Did he contact you?" David's voice turned cold, he had already warned that man not to contact his sister, yet he didn't even heed his words seriously.
Nina could feel the changes in her brother's voice, so she tried to hide it from him.
"Brother, I just want to know if Noah's…."
"Did he or not?" David crossed her words with his question.
When Nina felt she could not change the situation, she nodded.
David clenched his hand, underrated Ace Welsh's desire for this son, yet he dared to reach out to Nina for his son; this was unforgivable.
Nina bravely grabbed his hand and looked at him hopefully. "Brother, stop it; I don't want my son to go through something like this,
I don't want him to recognize that man as his father since we have such an ill-fated relationship; I want nothing to do with him."
For Nina, no matter what, she could enter her life.
Nor did she want to separate her son from her, so both options were out of the question.
David put his other hand on top of her hand, "leave it to me." David knew she wanted a specific surety from him, but he was also helpless regarding this matter.
It's not that he didn't search for the solution; he had to send the information worldwide; Kate and Daniel occupied the entire brain and heart.
Yet he didn't forget about Noah; this child was his child, and to him, as necessary as Daniel, Noah was the same.
Nina's face fell, but she believed since her brother told her he would find something, that meant he would, so she let it go; Nina went back to her room, and David returned to his study room.
He picked up his phone and dialed a familiar number; after a few moments of silence, the call went through; when the call connected, David didn't hold back his anger. He wanted to vent
"You messed with my sister; what is your intention?" He was grateful toward this man, not because he helped him. Instead, he helped his sister when she could not support herself; he was not even with her.
Yet what he did this time was unforgivable.
