"Kevin, I want to meet your dad." Kylie suddenly said.
Kevin's expression was not like he was happy to hear it, but he just nodded.
"But, mom, not today." Kevin had other plans for that older man.
He didn't want his mother to go soft on that foolish man who didn't look into his family's matters even though it's been 15 years.
Besides his grandmother, no one wanted him to live well in that family, so why didn't he bring his family away when he had the chance?
Kevin couldn't understand what his father wanted to do staying with the Allen family. Still, he didn't know it was not him who didn't want to leave that damn family.
Kylie didn't want to leave because Mia Smith's words controlled her mind so deeply that the thought of not leaving was rooted in her mind.
Unknown to any soul on this earth, Kylie knew and did something she thought would be best for everyone, especially for Nate and the entire Allen enterprise.
She didn't want to be the selfish labeled woman who snatched everything from the man she loved.
So never know what is going on in a person's mind because a person's mind is like an endless sea bottom where you could lose yourself,
not get lost there because if a person lost their way back, they could try harder, but if they lose something, there was no way to get that back.
"Son, I don't know what you heard or found, but sometimes to protect our loved one, we need to lose a part of us; not everyone is brave enough to do that.
In my life, I have only seen two men like this, and do you know who is the luckiest among them? Hah, no one; it was their partner who was the most fortunate,
That person is none other than I and our Grace; David crossed the universe to give her what she deserves; the same goes for your father; he sacrificed his family and frame for me.
I admit he somehow lost to his family and fate, but son, you son, never gave up on me, the woman who had lost herself for 15 years, never even talked to him, never gave him the right to be a husband in these 15 years.
But he never once thought about leaving me and going to another woman even though I didn't have any sense of myself, so what complaint should I have toward him?"
When Kylie finished, Kevin had no words to refute her request. Instead, this conversion made him think of Nate Allen in a new light; that man was at least loyal to his wife; he shouldn't blame him.
But what about him? He searched for this man who he had no one to rely on, but that man didn't even bother to look outside to know what was happening.
Anger flashed before Kevin's eyes, but he knew his limit; he had hundreds of ways to get back at that man, so for his mom's sake, he tolerated that man for a while.
"Tomorrow, there are a shareholders' meeting. Mom, I think we don't have to wait anymore, we have suffered enough, and now it's her turn. What could be more shocking than taking back what she desires the most in her life?"
Kevin explained about the shareholders' meeting; Kylie listened to everything carefully; didn't miss a word because the time was perfect for showing the world how
Kevin said with a smirk; he was still holding her hand gently because he was afraid to leave her for a second, a thought already rooted deeply in his head.
Kylie was stunned; she didn't think the chance would come so soon for her; it seemed God finally showed mercy on her, and she didn't want to wait long before she could meet her daughter.
"I will; after all, someone owes me something, and it would be wrong not to take back what originally belonged to me" Kylie once gave up on every right, but now there was no need to do it anymore.
"Mom, you don't need to do it, I'll just do it, and you will enjoy being my queen mother by my side." Kevin did not want her to tire herself for those people.
Kylie rubbed Kevin's head gently: "son, mother knows what mother wants; just let me do it. Otherwise, I will regret it all my life for letting it go." Kylie's firm decision made Kevin feel his mother's pain and suffering.
"Okay, mom, do as you want; just rest when you feel tired," Kevin said gently; he knew if his mother needed him, he would slaughter everyone for her.
"Okay, let's meet them tomorrow." Kylie was not prepared to meet them, but she had already made up her mind; no matter what, she would step back and let them win because now she had to fight for Nate, Kevin, and Kate.
A woman could sacrifice anything but not her husband's happiness and dignity and her children's right to what they deserve.
Kevin helped Kylie lie down and close her eyes; the doctor had already explained she had been in bed for the last few months, so her body usually needed time to work.
Everything else was okay, and now she could live without medicine or medical equipment.
