Katherine was telling the truth; Marshall was causing her trouble.
Marshall always said ambiguous things, which really made Katherine wonder how she should react.
Katherine continued, "Fine. Let me find the reason from myself, maybe my attitude after the divorce made you feel that I seem to be interested in you. I'm sorry, Mr. Grant, I’m not interested in you. I hope we can grow old and die without having had any dealings with each other. Happy ending for everyone."
Marshall stared at Katherine without saying anything.
Katherine was looking at Marshall while she said those words.
Her eyes didn't dodge, and her tone was tepid.
The more magnanimous she was, the more proof that what she said was true and that she has not lied.
Marshall felt uncomfortable.
He let out a sigh of relief, "Let's not talk about it anymore. Please be happy today. The media is here."
Katherine sneered, "Fine, I'll show you some respect."
At the end of one dance music, Katherine pushed Marshall away when switching to another dance music, “I don’t want to dance. I’m tired. The shoes keep rubbing against my heels.”
Marshall still remembered the last time Katherine's foot was injured and needed a band-aid.
He let go of her hand.
Katherine walked out of the dance floor.
The next song was a soothing song.
Now that there were many people on the dance floor, who wanted to dance ballroom dancing.
Hearing the style of the music, Kyle also walked out of the dance floor.
The men were joking, some were still teaming up with their dance partners, and some went to take a break.
As soon as Marshall was about to leave, Clara came over, "Marshall."
Marshall stood there, "Miss Henderson."
Clara fluffed her hair, "Want to dance together?"
She seemed a little shy, her face flushed slightly.
The men and women around have already danced following the melody.
Marshall looked at Clara, "Yes."
He reached out and made an invitation gesture, Clara put her hand in his hand.
Katherine returned to her seat and drank the juice.
The colorful lights on the dance floor have been removed, and the curtains have been opened.
It looked like a formal dance party.
Marshall and Clara were conspicuous, Katherine saw them at a glance.
She smiled and drank all the juice in the glass.
Kyle was tired, but looked very happy. He leaned over, "Am I doing well?"
Katherine laughed, "What do you think?"
"I'm not bragging. None of them are matches for me." Kyle looked proud.
Katherine didn’t know what he was so proud of.
Katherine nodded, "Well, you are the best of the best."
Kyle rested for a while, looking at the dance floor, and then he said, "How come Marshall and Clara get together?"
Katherine smiled, "Isn't it normal? If the two of them don't get together, who else can Clara be with?"
Kyle didn't like Clara, and naturally thought that Marshall should draw a clear line from Clara, "Look at them, they are hugging each other."
Katherine stood up and said, "Okay, if you can't stand it, let's go somewhere else and ignore them."
Kyle really didn't want to see the two of them dancing affectionately there, which was hard on his eyes.
He and Katherine didn’t really have a place to go, so they walked along the side of the banquet hall towards the backyard.
After walking for a while, they saw someone leading a group of monks in.
