Chapter 25
Get Rid of Her Now
“Mr. Stowe will wake up tomorrow. Don’t let him have tonics like the soup today for the next four weeks.”
“OK.”
Martin agreed and looked outside the window. “Please, let me treat you to dinner”
“Thanks, but I should go home.”
It should be over 6 pm now. Paige took the bag and took out her phone. Sure enough, her mother had called her two
times.
Paige quickly called back. “M*m, I’m sorry. i was busy just now.”
Martin looked at the girl who was on the phone in front of him. She had bright eyes and an outstanding temperament. When she talked to her family, her voice was soft and pleasant.
“OK, I’m going home. See you in a minute.”
“I’ll send you back,” Martin said softly when Paige hung up the phone.
“Then please send me to Praston Park. I have a car parked in the underground parking lot there.”
Praston Park?
It was a park that had not been opened to the public yet. Martin wondered why Paige had a car parked and why she was at that church earlier that day.
To him, the girl in front of him was like a mystery, making him unable to see through her
“I will return these first.”
Paige had just borrowed a set of special medical tools from Colin’s office. Today, he was on duty and was still in the
office.
After Paige returned the tools, she walked out of the office and passed Cassie’s ward. She could not help but stop.
Cassie was still getting an IV drip with her eyes closed. She was sleeping peacefully.
Paige suddenly remembered that one afternoon when she was a child, Cassie was taking a nap. The sunlight outside the window fell on her through the vertical strips of the curtain. At that time, Cassie was breathing and sleeping peacefully like now.
At that moment, a voice suddenly sounded.
“Paige, what are you doing here?”
Paige looked over and saw Lindsey and Tyrell standing not far away. They received a call from the hospital saying that
the prepaid fee for Cassie’s VIP ward had run up and asked them to come over to pay for it. They rushed over after
dinner
However, what surprised them was that they met Paige here!
Lindsey was the first to come back to her senses. “You didn’t go back to your birth parents? Don’t tell me you want to beg Cassie into letting you stay in Chicago and stay at our home. Stop dreaming”
Tyrell also didn’t expect that he would meet her at the hospital. “Paige, what is going on here? Didn’t you go back with your family?”
I think she didn’t leave at all!
Lindsey looked at Paige with eyes full of disgust “She must have heard how poor her real family was on the way back. She couldnt stand it so she ran back and wanted to beg Cassie!”
Lindsey thought Patge counted on the fact that Cassie loved her and tried to continue being a freeloader at the Tate’s
home
“Get rid of her now!”
Lindsey tugged at the corner of Tyrell’s clothes, indicating for him to do something now.
Tyrell really didn’t expect that he would see Paige here. At that time, he could only step forward and ask amiably, “Paige, why don’t we talk? How much money do you want?”
Paige looked at the faces of her former family and felt it was funny that they looked like different people.
They actually wanted to send her away using money.
