Chapter 421 Stunned
Caroline was moved. She did not expect that Vallorie would comfort and praise her.
“Are you free tomorrow afternoon? I would like to treat you to afternoon tea.”
Caroline realized that Vallorie was still young, so she added, “How about milk tea?”
Paige smiled. Before she could reply, Caroline sent a new message.
“You saved me, enlightened me, and comforted me… I have to treat you to a drink.”
“Okay,” Paige replied with her slender fingers.
“When will you be free?” Caroline asked.
“Anytime.”
“How about three in the afternoon?”
“Okay.”
“What do you want to drink? Coffee, afternoon tea, or milk tea?”
“Anything”
Caroline did not expect Vallorie to be so easygoing. She liked Vallorie more and began to look forward to their meeting tomorrow.
“I’ll check if there are any famous shops nearby. I’ll send you the address later.” Caroline sent a happy emoji.
“Okay.”
After sending the last message, Paige put away her phone.
“What are you talking about?”
Martin finished his work and went to the mall to pick up Paige. He took the things in her hands.
Mantin didn’t expect Paige would buy so many things for his parents. Moreover, she was talking with someone over the phone while carrying so many things. It seemed that they were chatting very happily.
“A very interesting middle-aged woman.” Paige’s eyes became gentle. “Tomorrow afternoon, I will go out.”
“Meet the woman you mentioned?”
“Yes.”
Martin was a little confused. Paige did not like to socialize. Why did she agree to meet a middle-aged woman?
“How did you guys know each other?” Martin helped Paige open the car door and fastened her seatbelt.
“When I submitted the score last night.”
“You got familiar so quickly.”
“Yes. We felt like old friends at the first meeting.”
Paige seemed to have known the middle-aged woman for a long lime, and they got along very well.
“If I had known that you went to Pinnacle Club last night, I would have gone with you. That club was later under my name,” Martin explained
Hearing this, Paige was somewhat surprised. “Isn’t that Mr. Philip Shaffer’s club?”
Paige happened to save Philip. When she went to the club, the people there were very nice to her.
Later, Paige saved the manager and the waiters of the club. When they saw her, they all respected her.
“When Mr. Shaffer encountered an economic crisis, I helped him solve it. To thank me, he transferred the club to me and focused on the real estate industry”
If Martin hadn’t helped Philip, Philip would have been in debt and left Chicago.
“Why haven’t the people in the club been replaced? Paige asked
The manager and the waiters were the same. None of them were replaced.
“They know the business well and have done a good job, so I won’t replace them.”
