With Madison out of the way, Nina's mood improved even more. She even ordered a large cake, and when Nash asked about it, she simply said she felt like eating cake.

He then handed her the documents and continued, "I’ve been thinking. The timing is suspiciously close to when your father and his group were ambushed. If I remember correctly, their attackers suddenly had more reinforcements. I’m guessing..."

"You think that batch of herbs might have been sold to those attackers," Nina finished his thought, her eyes widening in shock.
