CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery novel Chapter 1259

Lydia braced herself, fully expecting the sting of a slap. But the pain never came. She opened her eyes to see Mr. Perez shaking his head with a heavy sigh.

Mrs. Perez, standing beside him, tried to console him. "What’s the point of being so angry? What’s done is done. Right now, we need to figure out how to fix this. This is Quincy’s fault!"

She then turned to Lydia and added, "We should call him over right now."

Mr. Perez shot Lydia a stern glance, clearly holding back his frustration before finally speaking in a controlled but firm tone. "You’ve heard your mother. If you have any sense of responsibility, you won’t keep defending him. He’s a man. Let him handle his own problems."

Lydia sat in silence for a moment before pulling out her phone to send Quincy a message, asking him to come over.

It didn’t take long before Quincy arrived, rushing in from work. The moment he saw Lydia sitting quietly in the living room, he moved toward her, but Mr. Perez’s piercing glare stopped him in his tracks.

“There’s no need for beating around the bush,” Mr. Perez began sternly, pointing to Lydia. “We know everything that’s happened between you two, including your mother’s feelings about all of this.”

Quincy met his gaze directly. “What my mother said that day was wrong, but those aren’t my beliefs.”

Mr. Perez studied him for a moment. Despite his anger, he could see the determination in Quincy’s eyes. With a reluctant sigh, he softened just a little. Truth be told, he had always respected Quincy. It wasn’t just because Quincy had once saved his life, but also because of the capabilities he had shown.

Initially, Mr. Perez had dismissed Quincy as nothing more than an assistant. But over time, Quincy had proven his worth. He had built up his own company from the ground up, showing that he was more than capable of taking care of Lydia. Running such a successful business wasn’t something just anyone could do.

But despite his admiration, Mr. Perez couldn’t let it go this time. He shook his head and spoke more calmly, though his tone was still resolute. "Quincy, I respect you. I’ve always thought you could make Lydia happy. That’s why I agreed to the two of you getting married. But it’s not going to work anymore."
