She lifted the bowl and approached him with a spoon, ready to feed him. Seeing this, Scott just wanted to keep his distance. "It's okay, I'll drink it myself," he said.
"Take it slow, it might be a bit hot," Yasmine said, not insisting further, but watching attentively from the side.
Scott took the spoon and took a couple of sips. "How is it?" Yasmine asked eagerly.
Looking at her, Scott smiled politely. "It's not bad," he replied.
Yasmine happily said, "You haven't tried my cooking yet. I'm really good at cooking. Everyone who's tried my food says it's delicious. I have a talent for cooking. Next time, I'll come to your place. I've asked your parents, and I know what you like to eat. How about I come over and cook for you?"
"No need!" Scott immediately refused. "I'm busy with work and rarely at home."
"When you have time," Yasmine insisted.
Seeing Yasmine so enthusiastic, Scott found a good way to refuse her. "Yasmine, you don't need to worry about me so much, and don't listen to what my parents say. I can take care of myself. Men and women are different after all. If you come to my house to cook, others will gossip, and how will you get married in the future?"
With that said, Yasmine understood. The enthusiasm on her face vanished, and she sat back down.
"After you got drunk yesterday, I heard you call out a name," Yasmine asked again. "Nina, do you really like her?"
Scott lowered his gaze and answered calmly, "Yes."
Unconcealed, Yasmine's expression changed. She felt that all her enthusiasm had gone to waste. She asked again, "Why? Is she really beautiful, more beautiful than me?"
Looking at her, Scott smiled. "In my heart, she's the best."
Yasmine looked at his gentle expression, feeling even more uncomfortable. Despite Scott's amiable demeanor and polite manner towards her, never uttering a harsh word, she understood it was merely out of respect for her parents. Their families were close. His parents also liked her, so he regarded her as a friend or even a sister.
