Nash's expression became complicated, and his expression looked grim.
Nina did not care how harsh her words were. Once she decided to leave, nothing he said could change her mind. She turned her head and calmly left the restaurant.
Nash remained where he was, rooted to the spot.
As Nina stepped out of the restaurant, she felt a sudden sense of relief. Leaving Nash was the right choice. Despite his declaration of love, how much of it could she believe? Trusting in a man's love might only lead to deeper hurt later on.
"Mr. York, aren't you going after her?" Quincy asked, seeing Nash standing there. Quincy was stunned and more anxious than him.
Nash replied, "Didn't you see how much she resented my attempt to keep her? If I chase after her now, she’ll only hate me more."
"So what should we do? Just let her go?" Quincy questioned.
Nash, determined to find a solution, said coldly, "Doesn't Starry Sky TV station want to interview me?"
"What? What are you talking about?" Quincy hadn’t caught on yet.
Nash did not linger on the topic, instead, he turned his thoughts to Julia in the private room, "Get someone to take Mom home first."
He had just managed to regain some of Julia's trust and could not afford to lose it again.

Nina returned home and paused by Wilfred’s door. She remembered the red-haired woman’s words about the strawberries he grew, which no one else was allowed to touch.
It showed he treasured them, but he never ate them himself. It was odd that he did not eat them but gave them to her.
She considered knocking on his door to ask about it, but seeing the time, she guessed he might not be home. Hesitating, she turned towards her own apartment.
She was about to unlock her door when she suddenly saw Wilfred returning.
Nina stood at her door, pondering. She had intended to ask him something, but now it would have to wait.
Later that night, Nina was woken by loud noises from the apartment next door. Despite the good soundproofing in the building, she could hear what sounded like someone ransacking the place. She listened carefully and realized the noise was coming from Wilfred’s apartment.
Could he be getting robbed?
Nina quickly got out of bed. Standing at her door, she listened closely, but the noise had stopped. Curious, she opened her door slightly to peek at what was happening next door.
To her surprise, she saw a tall woman emerge from Wilfred’s apartment. The red-haired woman’s clothes were disheveled, and her hair was a mess.
Sensing someone watching, she turned and locked eyes with Nina.
"It's you!"
"It's you!"
