CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery novel Chapter 575

Nina's face looked a bit pale, but she put the phone back down. She lay on her side, listening to the sound of water running in the bathroom, feeling uneasy.

What had Nash been doing that afternoon? Was he investigating the scene of the female corpse, or meeting with Miranda?

A sense of unease crept over Nina. She trusted Nash. They had been married for three years, and he had never treated her like he had recently.

She felt his affection and care deeply. She could see the love in his eyes, a love meant only for her. He had promised to love her forever, and that she would always be his Mrs. York.

Nash’s unusual behavior made her feel there were things she did not know and things he might be hiding.

Lost in thought, she did not notice when Nash finished his shower. He walked out, drying his hair with a towel, and looked at her to see if she was asleep.

Nina moved slightly and looked up at him.

Nash lowered his eyes and walked over slowly. "You're still awake?"

"I'm waiting for you," Nina replied.

Nash finished drying his hair and got into bed. Instinctively, Nina wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her head on him.

Nash stroked her hair. "What's wrong?"

Nina decided not to dwell on the fact that he had a call with Miranda. She saw the serious look on his face, and it was clear something was weighing heavily on him. If something was troubling him, his call with Miranda could not have been pleasant.

"Nothing. Let's sleep," Nina said.

Nash lay flat on his back, staring at the ceiling. After a long pause, he said, "I’ll be home late tomorrow. You should get some rest."
