Miranda could not sit still any longer. It was not just Nina. Nash's absence was making her anxious as well.
"I need to go out," Miranda said, unable to stay put any longer.
Her assistant quickly prepared breakfast for her. "Where are you going, Miranda?"
"Nash hasn't come back yet. I need to go find him."
With that, Miranda hurried to change her clothes.
"You're not having breakfast?" the assistant asked.
"No!"
Gathering her things, Miranda grabbed her bag and rushed out the door, instructing the driver to take her to Nash's place. Waiting at his place made her feel more secure. She could see him the moment he arrived.
On the way, she noticed a familiar car, one that Nina used to drive. As far as she knew, Nash had given it to her.
However, this car was not included in the divorce settlement, which had only specified a villa and four million dollars.
Compared to Nash's assets, four million plus a villa was a mere trifle. It felt like charity, so naturally, she did not say much about it.
But if anything else had been taken, Miranda, as Nash's girlfriend, felt entitled to speak up.
The car window was down, and she could see Nina in the passenger seat. This sight sparked a fire in Miranda.
Especially since they were heading in the direction of Nash's villa.
What was Nina up to?
Miranda could not hold back any longer.
"Stop the car!" Miranda commanded coldly.
The driver pulled over.
Nina was busy on her phone. She had declined Penelope's suggestion to meet Nash, feeling it was not her place to worry about him.
Miranda pressed on, "Don't you think it's shameless of you?"
"This car was a gift from Nash, and it’s registered under my name. Understand?" Nina said, her tone icy. "Now, you’re blocking traffic."
"Where are you going? Are you planning to see Nash?" Miranda asked again.
Nina snapped, "Where I go is none of your business!"
Miranda's expression was cold as she said, "Nina, I advise you not to do anything immoral. Nash is my boyfriend. Stay away from him. Consider this your final warning."
Nina laughed mockingly. "Aren’t you ashamed when you say things like that?
"You know exactly what you've done to me and how you got your boyfriend. You're clearly comfortable living in your own world, but trust me, I'll make sure you pay for this. Penelope, drive!"
With that, the car sped off, splashing water all over Miranda.
"Ah!" Miranda screamed as the muddy water soaked her skirt.
