CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery novel Chapter 660

Nina could not find the words to express her sympathy for Scarlett.

There were so many people suffering in this world, and her time in the dark room seemed insignificant in comparison.

At least she had family, while Scarlett had never known warmth. It made her heart ache and filled her with immense sadness.

Nina was placed on another stretcher and carried away. She and Scarlett were taken in different vehicles.

As she looked out, she saw that the situation was under control. The gunfire had ceased, and the criminals were being apprehended. Many police cars had arrived, and the scene was being cleaned up.

Sawyer, the ringleader, had been captured. His head was covered with a black hood, and his hands were shackled. He limped, his body bearing various injuries.

Nina also saw James and Felix hurrying out, their faces stern. However, Nash was nowhere to be seen.

Nina was filled with questions. Why wasn't he there?

Usually, James and Felix would be by his side. Maybe Nash was busy rescuing Miranda and had focused all his attention on her, leaving his team behind.

She forced a bitter smile. Why was she thinking about this now?

Everyone there would protect Nash. He should be safe. She needed to focus on herself.

Thanks to Scarlett's cover, Nina had not suffered any major injuries, just a few bruises. Her baby was unharmed.

The arrival of numerous ambulances indicated the extent of the casualties. Different degrees of injuries were being attended to, and the injured were being taken to the hospital. As the ambulances filled up, they left for the hospital.

A young soldier, about eighteen years old, with sun-darkened skin and a severe injury to his left eye, was brought into Nina's ambulance.

The nurse bandaged his eye, but blood continued to seep through. Despite his pain, he remained silent, his fingers digging into the bed, almost tearing the sheet.
