Nash helped Nina to her seat, thoughtfully pulling out the chair for her.

These were tasks the helpers usually handled, but he found a sense of accomplishment in doing even the smallest things for her. In matters of love, he didn’t have much experience, but he knew he needed to be attentive and considerate to his woman.

Nina noticed a change in Nash but couldn't quite pinpoint what was different. Perhaps their relationship had just become closer. The breakfast spread was simple but offered a variety of options. Nina, wanting to ensure she got the necessary nutrients, chose some eggs, beef, and pasta.

Nash sat beside her, helping to serve her favorite foods.

"That's enough, I can't eat that much," Nina protested, gently pushing his hand away. Just because she was pregnant didn’t mean she needed to eat everything in sight.

Nash disagreed, "You're pregnant, but you don't seem to be gaining much weight. When I hold you, you're still so light. You need more nutrition, so eat a bit more."

"I can't eat that much," Nina insisted. "I'm pregnant, not a pig. I know my own limits. Not every pregnant woman has to gain a lot of weight. This is just my body type. You’re too inexperienced."

"I’m too inexperienced?" Nash looked at her, momentarily at a loss for words.

"It’s true," Nina said softly, eating what she had selected. "Too much food isn't good either. If the baby gets too big, it’ll be hard to deliver. The baby and I are one; I know what he needs. I can’t eat any more."

Nash conceded, following her lead. "Alright, we’ll do it your way," he said, his tone tinged with resignation.

Sensing his disappointment, Nina felt a pang of sympathy. She knew he was just trying to take care of her. Looking up, she leaned in and kissed his cheek in appreciation.

Nash glanced back at her, his heart swelling with warmth, but he couldn’t resist teasing by wiping his face, "You’ve got oil on your lips."

"I know," Nina replied with a mischievous smile.

Seeing her playfulness, Nash couldn’t resist either. He pulled her in for a fierce kiss.
