Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore) novel Chapter 1249

"Sure! I love eating whatever you cook, Rose." Yerick hauled Steve up and cradled him in his arms. "Hey, little guy! Do you miss me?"

Steve suddenly raised a hand and hit Yerick's cheek in disdain, as if trying to push him away.

Yerick frowned. "Why did you hit me? Are you allowed to bully others just because you're small?"

Steve laughed and hit him again.

"Stevie, what are you doing?" Rosalie approached them. "No hitting. That's no good."

If he picked up the bad habit of hitting others even before he turned one, it would only get worse as he grew older.

"I think Stevie likes me. Children are often bolder around people they feel closer to. It's fine, he can hit me a few more times." Yerick didn't mind it at all. Steve was just an infant, so what did he have to fear? Would Steve devour him?

Yerick lifted Steve high, and Steve chuckled gleefully.

"Have fun, you guys. I'll go prepare the food," Rosalie said.

Yerick looked around him. "Rose, where is he?"

Rosalie immediately knew who Yerick was referring to. "He had something to attend to so he left early."

"Oh, is that so? But Rose, how did you two get to know each other? He looks so frightening, I'm sure he's no good."

"He's a friend I got to know in Melrine. He's a good man, don't let his appearance deceive you."

"Oh, I see," Yerick said as he glanced shiftily around the place. "Seems like you quite like him."

"No way! I see many women of my age. Rose, stop thinking that I'm just fooling around, okay? I'm serious. You aren't that much older than I am. In fact, being with an older woman is much better."

Yerick's tone was slightly flirtatious, and Rosalie wondered if he was doing it on purpose. His words made him seem like he was pulling her leg.

"Yerry," Rosalie said as she turned serious. "I'm being serious, too. Stop saying that again. You know my situation. I treat you like a brother, so let's not destroy our relationship, okay?"

Yerick pouted. "Alright, Rose. I won't say that again. Don't be angry. I'll help you take care of Steve and play with him as you cook."

He knew that if he were to say more, Rosalie would only get angrier.

"Sure, go ahead."

In truth, Rosalie wasn't really angry with him.
