Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore) novel Chapter 1278

Rosalie tried her best to calm herself down and remind herself not to panic. It was likely due to a psychological effect that she spotted the resemblance. Aurora drew the portrait, so it might not be accurate.

Rosalie turned to glance at the door and started texting Theodore.

[Yerick is at my place. When you arrive later, don't fight with him. I sense something fishy with him. We'll talk more when we meet. When you arrive…]

Suddenly, the door opened.

Rosalie jumped up in fright and her phone almost dropped on the floor. "How…how did you get in?"

Yerick waved the key in his hand. "Rose, you put the key on the coffee table. How else could I have gotten in?"

Rosalie regretted leaving the key on the coffee table. That was too careless of her!

Yerick approached her with the key in hand. "Rose, it's so strange. Why did you lock the door? I thought you just shut it."

As Yerick drew nearer, his voice sounded more suppressed, even confused. Despite that, Rosalie could feel an overwhelming sense of chill and danger. She kept retreating until she hit the cot. She immediately hauled Steve out of his cot and carried him in her arms.

"Yerry, Steve can't sleep. I think let's forget about putting him to sleep. Let's…let's head out to buy some fresh vegetables. I'm worried the ones in the fridge are stale."

She was very anxious right now and didn't want to stay at home. She had to leave and find a chance to flee.

"Rose, I think you're ill," Yerick said as he lifted a hand and caressed her face. "You look so pale. What happened? Why do I feel like you're hiding from me?"

Rosalie felt as though her feet were rooted to the ground, unable to move. Worried that she might overreact, she forced a smile and said, "How could that be? I'm not hiding from you. You're imagining things."

"Is that so?" Yerick said with a tilt of his head as a smile stretched across his face. "I suddenly thought of something. You didn't tell me about the recording. How did I find out about it?"

Rosalie's mind buzzed.

Yerick decided it was time to drop the pretense.

However, Rosalie continued putting up an act. "Yerry, how could you be a bad guy? Quit joking around with me."

"Haha…" Yerick burst out laughing as he pulled out a gun and pointed it at Rosalie.

Rosalie was scared out of her wits. "Yerry, what…what are you doing?!"

"Rose, I'm so sorry. I was careless and accidentally said something to make you realize that I was the bad guy all along. I can't deny it, I'm the villain here. I was behind Sebastian's attack, and I shot Theodore with that arrow."

Yerrick looked guiltily at Rosalie.

"Rose, I'm so sorry for lying to you for so long."
