Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore) novel Chapter 287

“You’re still ticklish at this age?” Theodore grumbled. “It’s not as if I’ve never touched you there.”

He had touched every inch of her body, after all. Now that they were divorced, she was stopping him from touching her. How petty of her!

The moment the thought emerged in his mind, Theodore found himself laughable.

They were already divorced. Of course she wouldn’t let him touch her!

He was the petty one.

He stood up from the bed, and said, “Go wash up. Breakfast is ready.”

He had already informed the kitchen to start preparing breakfast, in case she felt hungry when she woke up.

Rosalie said nothing further, and walked into the washroom.

She stood before the mirror, and stared at her reflection in it. She was still feeling woozy as images from her nightmare last night replayed in her mind.

After washing up, she walked out of the washroom and found that Theodore was already gone.

Rosalie picked up her phone, and texted Sebastian.

‘Had your breakfast yet?’

What she really wanted to ask was if he was fine, but it seemed a tad exaggerated for her to ask that just because of a nightmare she had.

However, Sebastian never replied to her text, even after a long time had passed. Perhaps he was resting, or was busy with something else.

Rosalie slid her phone back into her pocket and headed downstairs to the dining hall, where she found Theodore.

Thinking about Sebastian, Rosalie suddenly lost her appetite. Still, she sat down at the table anyway.

Breakfast was a sumptuous spread.

“Why is there so much food?” she asked.

“You don’t want to be with me?” Theodore said hoarsely.

Rosalie said flatly, “We’re already divorced. It’s better for us to keep our distance. Keep what happened last night to yourself, or there might be misunderstandings.”

“What misunderstandings? We slept on the same bed. What’s there to misunderstand?” Theodore shot back, displeased.

She should have been willing to get close to him. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have slept with him last night.

Rosalie sighed.

“Now that we’re divorced, I can tell you this clearly. You should dedicate more of your time and energy to Cynthia. You’ll only be happy if you focus your attention on one woman. You can’t think of one woman while being with another. That will only make everyone involved unhappy.”

She smiled, her face showing absolutely no signs of anger or sorrow. She was clearly at peace, as if she had let go of everything.

Theodore furrowed his brows as sorrow flashed past his eyes.

“Despite everything that has happened, thank you for what you said to Grandma. It’s too bad she beat you up for it. I’ll be off now. I’ll come over if there’s anything urgent, but if there’s nothing else, I think we should behave like any other divorced couple. Otherwise, people might think we’re still entangled with each other,” Rosalie finished.
