Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore) novel Chapter 812

"What did you say?" Aurora felt as if she was struck by lightning. "You can't just stop seeing me because I look like your ex-wife. That's not fair!"

"Why wouldn't it be fair? We were never close to begin with. You saved me, and I saved you. We're even."

Aurora clenched her fists. "So, the reason you came here today and wanted to take a walk with me, was just to tell me this?"

"Yes," Theodore admitted. "I wanted to tell you these things."

Aurora closed her eyes in pain. She had thought that maybe they could spend some time alone together. Foolishly, she had imagined that they might develop feelings for each other.

She hadn't expected him to say something so cruel. She had been overthinking it all along.

Yet, she couldn't stop her tears from falling. She didn't know why, but her heart hurt so much. Perhaps it was because from the very first moment she saw Theodore, she had fallen in love with him.

It was only after meeting Theodore that she understood what love at first sight meant.

Seeing Aurora cry so sorrowfully, Theodore said in a low voice, "You're really foolish. I'm not a good man."

He could sense that Aurora liked him. The way she looked at him was different. Now, it seemed he wasn't wrong in thinking that.

However, when Theodore thought about it further, he realized how laughable he was. Rosalie had once loved him so deeply, but he couldn't see it. Now, when another woman liked him, he recognized it immediately.

Maybe it was because when facing the person he loved, he panicked and felt uncertain. When facing someone he didn't love, he could see things objectively like a bystander.
