"Theodore... Theodore!" Aurora cried out his name, tears streaming down her face. "Why are you treating me like this? Why?"
Aurora really wanted to chase after him and disregard all her concerns, but right now, she didn't have an ounce of strength left.
"Why did I fall in love with someone like you? Why?"
Aurora didn't understand. It had only been a few days, and she had only met him a handful of times, yet she couldn't seem to let go of him.
"Why did you fall? How pitiful. Let me help you up."
A man suddenly appeared in front of her and helped her up from the floor.
Aurora raised her head, and saw a stranger standing before her. She frowned in confusion. "Who are you?"
"Lie down first, and I'll explain slowly."
Yerick helped her onto the bed and tucked her in.
Aurora wiped the tears from her face.
Seeing Yerick looking at her with a half-smile, Aurora felt a bit uneasy. "Who exactly are you?"
"Do you remember that email?"
Aurora's heart skipped a beat. "You sent that email?"
Yerick nodded. "Yes."
"Why did you send me that email?"
"Because I wanted you to save Theodore."
Aurora stared at him in shock. "What are you saying? You wanted me to save him? How did you know he was going to die? What exactly is going on?"
"Yes, I know Theodore almost died there. I didn't want him to die, which is why I contacted you and had you go save him."
"Who exactly are you? You...you..." Aurora seemed frightened.
Yerick quickly poured her a glass of water. "Calm down. Let me explain slowly."
After Aurora drank half a glass of water, she calmed down. Yerick sat down in the chair beside her.
"But Mr. Spencer has already apologized! He knows he was wrong. He—"
"Apologies are meaningless," Yerick interrupted her. "Not all mistakes can be forgiven."
He continued, "Many times, I've warned Theodore to be careful of his ex-wife, but he wouldn't listen to me. That man is too foolish and too in love. He's willing to let her hurt him. Even though he knew he'd be injured or even die if he went there, he still went."
Hearing what Yerick said, Aurora seemed to understand something.
"Are you saying that the reason he nearly died at that time was because of his ex-wife?"
Yerick's expression grew solemn. "Yes."
"How do you know all this?"
"Theodore knows it, so how could I not?" Yerick said. "I tried every way I could to stop him, but he was willing to do anything to win back his ex-wife. I could foresee what she was going to do, which is why I contacted you. I thought you could save him."
Aurora was overwhelmed and couldn't process all she heard at once.
Out of instinct, she asked, "Why did you think I could save him? I didn't even know him at the time."

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Why aren't u updating......
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
