Rosalie furrowed her brows. She pondered for a moment before saying, "I can't decide for you. It's not wrong of you to take revenge. If you're going to torture him, can I head up first? I don't want to see you do it."
The image was too gory and Rosalie was worried she might have nightmares.
Vincent turned around and realized that Rosalie's face had turned pale.
She was frightened indeed. She was a proper lady, unlike him who had seen it all. Of course she would be frightened.
Rosalie was a clean sheet of paper, while his hands were all covered with blood.
"Go on upstairs. I'll head up in a while."
Rosalie nodded, then turned to leave the basement.
After she headed upstairs and closed the door, she could hear sounds from the basement.
The man who was being tortured couldn't make a sound. All she could hear were sounds Vincent made, some of which came from the piercing of a knife, or something that was overturned.
Rosalie covered her ears and leaned against the wall.
All sorts of conflicts happen around the world every day. It was hard to determine who was right or wrong in them.
Murder may not necessarily be wrong, while saving someone may not necessarily be right.
If one murdered a vicious and wicked thug, that was akin to public service.
If one saved a vicious and wicked thug, that was akin to freeing a tiger and would only cause harm to more people.
One had to experience much to know that things in this world weren't black and white and nothing was absolute in this world.
Rosalie nodded. "I do. Be it heaven or paradise, I believe your sister is in a place with no pain and is surrounded by peace. Those who hurt her will all go to hell and experience eternal torment."
"What about me, then? I'll go to hell one day, too."
He lifted his hands. "Even though they deserve death, I'll still go to hell."
Rosalie furrowed her brows. She lifted a hand and gently patted Vincent's shoulder.
"Vincent, I believe that you will one day be reunited with your sister. But before that, live well in this life you have. Although you've killed many people, you've also saved many people. If those hooligans hadn't died, they might end up killing more people or doing even more evil."
Vincent laughed.
"You're great at comforting people. Youngie was like that too. She was so very kind and would never hurt anyone. She's the kind of person who would just keep her sorrows to herself. Even after throwing an occasional tantrum with me, she'd still cook for me and make me happy. She was so kind and she couldn't even bear to kill an ant. But why? Why did the heavens treat her like this and make her die in such hopeless torment? Why?"

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Why aren't u updating......
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
