Chapter 584 A Chance To Apologize
Blanche’s consciousness was gradually becoming unclear. However, when she saw Emrys, her deeply ingrained obstinacy surged once again.
Emrys watched silently.
He could tell that Halvard was deliberately making things difficult for Blanche. Similarly, he knew that Blanche had reached her physical limits and was persisting solely through sheer willpower.
Her persistence was commendable.
As the round continued, Blanche’s pace became increasingly unsteady.
Despite her strong willpower, she was still a novice martial artist and couldn’t withstand running for so long.
Moreover, Halvard continued shouting from behind, “Speed up! Don’t slow down! Are you asking for more punishment?”
Blanche’s originally bright red face instantly turned pale following Halvard’s urging.
Her willpower had reached its limit.
“That’s enough. Take a break!”
Just as Blanche was on the verge of collapsing, a large hand suddenly grasped her shoulders and caught her. Turning her head to look, she realized it was Emrys.
“Who says she can rest? Keep running!”
Just then, Halvard’s voice rang out from behind, his expression solemn.
A hint of mockery crept up Halvard’s face when he saw Emrys. “So it’s you, Cowardly Grandmaster.”
Emrys was considerably well–known now.
The battle with Cillian the other time perfectly illustrated what a cowardly jerk meant.
That was not all.

Temperer had always been looked down upon by Manifestor. Yet, Emrys, far from being ashamed, took pride in it. He truly was a rare oddity.
Halvard himself was a Manifestor, so naturally, he looked down on Emrys.
Emrys wasn’t angered by the mockery. Instead, he stared at Halvard and said, “Blanche is still a novice in martial arts. There’s no need for such intense training.”
Taking a progressive approach was critical in training.
If training was difficult from the start, not only would it fail to be effective, but it would also lead to a rebound in the later stages and wear down Blanche’s willpower.
Halvard snickered. “I’m Blanche’s instructor. I’ll train her as I see fit. Who are you to tell me what to do?”
Then, he shifted his piercing gaze toward Blanche and sternly yelled, “I’ll give you a chance now. Keep running!”
Blanche’s face turned pale.
Obviously, she understood what Halvard meant by “a chance“.
If she didn’t keep running, Halvard would undoubtedly report to the academy’s higher- ups, claiming that she was uncooperative in training. Consequently, the academy would consider expelling her.
“Mr. Lund, I–I can still hang in there… stammered Blanche.
However, Emrys grabbed her and retorted, “Hang in there? Stop insisting.”
Witnessing this scene, Halvard grew grim and angrily shouted, “Emrys The Coward, do
you have any idea what the consequences of disrupting training are?”
Originally, Emrys was not inclined to argue with Halvard. However, the latter’s constant insults gradually angered Emrys. “Has anyone ever told you that your breath stinks?” he said with a frown.
My breath stinks?
A mocking smirk spread across Halvard’s face. “What is it? Did I hit a nerve?”
“I’m giving you a chance to apologize.”
