Clubrooms Diary novel Chapter 48

CHAD

May 15th 2018

I carelessly slam the door to my car, furious that my safe was broken into and no one knows anything about it. Now I'm slightly freaking out how I'm going to come up with the lease money in a week. The business has slowly started to dwindle, I have no Maddie, no Mal, Caddie and no one's seen Layla either.

The entire East wing of the club is fucking cursed.

I put my keys in my pocket and take a few steps before I realise I've just stepped into a gunfight scene. I see Amar and his muscle in front of MY club, when I take a closer look I see Amar clutching his abdomen with blood pooling around his hands. I shift my focus to my right, Mals standing behind the lady detective, crying, her hands stained with blood. I see Lisa glaring at me with a 'You dumb son-of-a-bitch' expression on her face.

I glare back with a, 'How the fuck was I suppose to know' look on mine. I mean shit, I just stepped out of my car and It's not like it's an everyday occurrence that people will start shooting each other in front of a brothel.

"Hey Mal,' I quietly call out getting her attention.

When her gaze locks with mine, " Did you do that?" I try to keep the excitement out of my voice and fail horribly.

She frowns, fine lines etching across her face as she nods her head. I look over at Amar, amusement written all over my face when I look back at her. I smile with wide eyes and give her the thumbs up. Her eyes form into thin slits and she flips me the bird. I tilt my head down, raising my hand up to scratch the back of my head, masking the smirk on my face.

"MALAYINA!!!!!" Amar bellows out, his voice travelling through the air, disrupting my aura of enthusiasm.

"You're in danger, you need to come with me now. I can keep you safe if we leave now." He continues to yell out as he staggers forward with determination evident on his face.

"No!" She cries out. "Leave me alone, I don't want to be with you, you sick bastard." She hiccups, smearing the tears across her face violently.

Lisa, takes two steps to the side, nearing Mal, reaching her side she embraces her.

"Slowly start to back away and get into the white Chrysler, two cars back." The detective murmurs, trying not to move her lips too much.

"You belong to me now, whether you like it or not, You. Are. Mine!" He winces as he reaches his protector, placing his hand on his shoulder, he says something to him in Greek that has him lowering his weapon.

"She doesn't want anything to do with you Amar, you're family can't have everything they desire." The detective calls out again.

"Evie, please don't let him take me." Mal whimpers as Lisa slowly drags her backwards.

"You're safe babe, I'll keep you safe." She says, reassuringly.

"She's my wife, you can't keep her away from me!"

His wife? I had to practically pick my jaw up off the floor. Without her awareness, the cunning jerk managed to attach himself to her. My club has more drama in a day than a Turkish television series, so it's no surprise she stabbed him.

"MALAYINA!! If you don't come to me I will order Vanko to start shooting."
