Contract Marriage: My Sweet Bossy Wife novel Chapter 151

Meanwhile, Jessica’s face went ghastly pale as well. Wilfred held her tight into his arms while attentively watching her face. His heartbeat was running wild because of nervousness. He prayed that Jessica would be fine.

Jessica weakly rested herself into his arms. She was lightweight, from the body of whom Wilfred could smell some fragrance.

Still, he fixed his eyes on her, hoping that she could wake up as soon as possible.

Coincidentally, Leila happened to reach the pharmacy. As soon as she looked inside, she witnessed this shocking moment.

Then she froze on spot.

Actually, she returned to the pharmacy just to continue to show off in front of Jessica. However, before she stepped in, she bumped into this shocking moment.

Before Wilfred could notice, she retreated out of the room. Of course, she recognized Wilfred at the very first sight. After all, he looked too dazzling to be ignored, who had turned to be the focus of all girls inside the Institute.

Leila knew nothing about him, but she could tell from his suit that he must be extraordinarily privileged.

Though he looked really eye-catching, Leila had never changed her mind—she still made Lorenzo her ultimate target.

It had never occurred to her that Jessica was actually having an affair with this young man in white suit.

She realized it was gonna be a breaking news to expect. As powerful as Lorenzo had been, he would never sit by if he knew that his wife was cheating on him.

At the thought of that, Leila was getting thrilled—it was time for her to revenge herself.

She took out her phone to film it. Then she sent it to Lorenzo.

Under the moonlight, a luxurious roadster of customized version was heading to the Training Institute.

It was Lorenzo who was driving to pick Jessica up.

Ever since he left home that night, he had been working hard 24 hours a day. And so were all his employees. The whole group had turned to be a hive. Exhausted, none of those staffs dared to suggest for a break in case Lorenzo might get mad.

Lorenzo was still wearing a sullen expression. Some stubbles popped out of his jaw. His indifference was greatly outlined by the tailor-made black suit he was wearing.

He appeared more repellent to others.

While working, Lorenzo only conducted business through phone calls. He barely spent time on social media, but in the friend list of which he only kept Jessica within.

Though Lorenzo had been working attentively for two days, Levi started to notice that there was something wrong with him—Lorenzo seemed to appear absent-minded.

Of course, he could tell that Lorenzo was disturbed. So he had taken over all kinds of work as much as he could. He never came to Lorenzo unless he got files requiring the personal disposal of Lorenzo.

With his phone by his side, Lorenzo took a look at it from time to time in case he missed any message from Jessica.

However, he got no text from her even till the night fell.

He couldn’t help wondering if Jessica was being too busy to text him.

But then he doubted it again—though he was busy running the whole group, he could still pay attention to the message sent by Jessica. At least she could spare a few minutes to text him.

Finally, Lorenzo couldn’t wait anymore. He made a call to grandma, only to know that Jessica hadn’t returned home.

It was about 20:30 in the evening. But nobody answered when he was calling the phone at home again. Obviously, Jessica still stayed in the Training Institute.

But the closing time of the Institute was 18:00. He started wondering what she was doing.

Driven by anxious, he felt a bit suffocated. So he pulled the tie loose and began smoking.

As he took a big whiff of smoke, he recollected the conversation with grandma.

“What are you calling for? It’s you who walked away last night. If so, why are you pretending that you do care about Jessica?”

“You simply walked away when you got annoyed? Have you ever thought about the feeling of your wife? You don’t even act like a man! Just stay out of her sight if you chose to do so.”

“You gotta know there are a lot of admirers preying for her love. If you wanna quit, there will be still a group of guys crowding in to chase after her. If that happens, you will definitely regret it!”

While recalling the conversation, he couldn’t help laughing at himself.

Grandma was right about that—he walked away because of tantrum but he couldn’t hold back his concern with her at the same time. How ambivalent!

He parked the car near the portal of the Training Institute. Suddenly, his phone buzzed. It was a message notice. He swiped on the screen to check it.

It was a message from Leila, while the content of which was a video.
