"Don't think you can get away from this by hiding. I'm telling you this for your good. I won't let up on you because you did have made mistakes this time."

Lorenzo gave her an sullen stare.

"I did that for a reason! I don't want to owe you too much. I should live on my own. If I count on you for everything, then what if you're not there for me someday? That will only get me killed faster. And... I didn't ignore your message on purpose."

Jessica explained as she lowered her head. What Lorenzo just said made her feel more guilty.

"Why are you in such a hurry to get rid of me?"

Lorenzo scoffed.

"We're very different, like from two different worlds."

Jessica muttered quietly.

Lorenzo suddenly felt a bit desperate. He had never felt afraid of anything throughout his life, but this time, he felt a bit anxious.

He did have feelings for Jessica. This was the first time he got so excited because of a text. He had worked overtime just to save more time and get back to be with her.

Lorenzo shook his head helplessly, laughing and mocking himself.

Lorenzo said as he raised his eyebrows, looking at Jessica with a smile.

Jessica pouted and muttered grouchily.
